Sohail Khan, who is participating in the 10th season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), opened up about his brother Salman Khan’s love for cricket and his son Nirvan Khan’s aspirations to become an actor.
Salman Khan’s cricket passion
In an interview with Zoom TV, Sohail Khan shared some interesting details about Salman Khan’s cricket skills and how he had to give up the sport after entering the film industry. He said that Salman was a left-handed bowler and quite a good one at that. He also recalled their childhood days when they used to play cricket with their brother Arbaaz Khan outside their Galaxy apartment in Mumbai. He said that their father Salim Khan, who instilled the love for the game in them, would teach them batting in their long corridor. He added that Salman was the biggest sports lover in their family.
However, things changed when Salman became an overnight sensation with his debut film Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. Sohail said that Salman had to forget cricket and focus on his acting career. He said that Salman was suddenly burdened with a lot of responsibilities of his fans and himself. He had to tread with caution and avoid any injuries or risks that could affect his work.
Sohail also revealed that Salman still enjoys playing cricket whenever he gets a chance. He said that Salman recently played cricket with the Bigg Boss housemates when he visited them as a host. He said that Salman loves to watch cricket matches and support the Indian team.
Nirvan Khan’s acting dreams
Sohail Khan also spoke about his son Nirvan Khan, who is 23 years old and keen on joining the entertainment industry as an actor. He said that Nirvan will soon start working with a director or an actor to learn the craft. However, he expressed his preference for Nirvan to work closely with an actor rather than a director. He said that he does not understand why aspiring actors become assistants to directors. He said that senior actors should give junior and budding actors a chance to be around them and learn from them.
Sohail also named some of the actors that he would love Nirvan to assist. He said that he would love Nirvan to assist actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Shahid Kapoor, and Nana Patekar. He said that these actors are very talented and versatile and Nirvan could observe them and read lines with them. He said that Nirvan would learn a lot from them and improve his skills.
Sohail Khan and Salman Khan’s upcoming projects
Sohail Khan, who is an actor and a director, also revealed some details about his upcoming projects. He said that he is finally taking his long-delayed film Sher Khan on the floor. The film will star Salman Khan in the lead role and will hit the floor in 2025. He said that the film is a big-budget action-adventure film and he is very excited about it.
He also said that he is looking forward to the release of Salman Khan’s upcoming films Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and Tiger 3. He said that he has seen some glimpses of Radhe and it looks amazing. He said that Salman is in top form and the fans will love him. He also praised the director Prabhu Deva and the co-stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff. He said that Tiger 3 is also a very anticipated film and Salman will reprise his role as a spy along with Katrina Kaif. He said that the film will be shot in various locations and will have some thrilling action sequences.
