Shin Min Ah has opened up about her personal style, holiday thoughts, and what comes next after completing work on her upcoming drama “The Remarried Empress.” The actress recently participated in a festive photo shoot with Harper’s Bazaar Korea, showcasing her playful side alongside musical instruments and bold accessories.
A Musical Photoshoot and Signature Style
For her Harper’s Bazaar Korea feature, Shin Min Ah embraced a musical theme that highlighted her lively personality. She described the experience as stepping into the shoes of a unique musician, making for an enjoyable shoot filled with accessible band music.
When discussing her approach to accessories, the actress revealed her preference for layered jewelry, especially when paired with simple clothing.
“I usually enjoy wearing simple outfits, so I layer accessoriesโbold pieces with delicate, thin ones,” Shin Min Ah explained. “Today, I wore several rings and necklaces, and I liked that it was bold but not excessive. Especially the bracelets; the more you add, the prettier they look.”
This styling approach aligns with her established fashion sense, which often mixes sophisticated pieces with casual elements for a balanced, polished look.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
Shin Min Ah shared her perspective on the year-end season, noting she doesn’t place special significance on the period but rather feels disappointed by how quickly autumn passes. She identified “The Remarried Empress” as the project that will define her memories of this year.
“This year will be remembered for the drama ‘The Remarried Empress,’” she stated. “Once filming wraps up, I want to visit a country I’ve never been to before.”
This planned trip marks her first major break after completing the demanding production, which is scheduled to release in the second half of 2026 on Disney+.
About “The Remarried Empress”
“The Remarried Empress“ is a fantasy romance based on a popular web novel, set in the fictional Eastern Empire. The story follows Empress Navier, played by Shin Min Ah, as she navigates divorce from Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon) and subsequently remarries Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk) from a neighboring kingdom.
The drama features a unique blend of historical and modern elements, with characters attending balls in both uniforms and dresses. The production recently faced challenges when controversy emerged over props resembling German Nazi medals in still cuts. The production company Studio N issued an official apology and is implementing measures to address the issue before the series release.
Shin Min Ah’s full pictorial and detailed interview are available in the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea.
