The Hollywood Creative Alliance’s Astra Film Awards for 2026 were presented on January 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The live-streamed ceremony saw the supernatural horror film Sinners win the most awards of the night, taking home six Astras including the top prize for Best Motion Picture – Drama. Actor Omar Benson Miller hosted the event, which also featured a historic win for a canine actor and celebrated industry veterans with special honorary awards.

Key Wins for Netflix, Warner Bros., and a Historic Canine Victory

Beyond the major picture and acting categories, several other films and performances stood out during the ceremony. The night was a strong showing for major studios, with Warner Bros. films collectively winning 11 awards. Netflix followed with five wins.

The animated film KPop Demon Hunters was a standout for Netflix, winning three awards: Best Animated Feature, Best Original Song for “Golden,” and Best Voice-Over Performance for Arden Cho.

One of the most talked-about moments was a historic win in the Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller category. The award went to Indy the Dog, the canine star of the film Good Boy. This marks the first time a non-human animal has won a major film acting award. The film’s director, Ben Leonberg, accepted the award via a video speech with Indy by his side.

The 2026 ceremony was the third held under the “Astra Awards” name after a rebranding by the Hollywood Creative Alliance. It introduced a new category for Best Book to Screen Adaptation, which was won by The Housemaid.
