SM Entertainment’s trainee group SMTR25 is getting their own reality show. The program, called “Reply High School,” will feature 15 trainees experiencing school life across different decades. They will eat, sleep, and train together in a dorm while preparing performances inspired by the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. The show is a collaboration between SM and production company Egg Is Coming and is set to stream globally in early 2026.

Meet the Trainees and Their Decade-Themed Classes

The 15 trainees participating in the show have been divided into three classes based on birth years and decades. Each class will experience the music, fashion, and culture of their assigned era as they work toward their debut goals. The groups are:

The 1990s Class includes Nicholas (born 2004, USA), Kassho (2006, Japan), Justin (2006, Japan), Hyunjun (2006, Korea), and Woolin (2008, Korea).

The 2000s Class consists of Hanbi (2003, Korea), Songha (2004, Korea), Kachin (2007, Thailand), Sadaharu (2007, Japan), and Tata (2008, Thailand).

The 2010s Class is made up of Daniel (2005, Korea), Haruta (2006, Japan), Hamin (2006, Korea), Charlie (2007, Thailand/UK), and Jaewon (2008, Korea).

Some of these trainees, like Daniel, Hanbi, and Haruta, were previously introduced to the public through SM Entertainment’s introductory videos and performances. Others are being revealed for the first time through this show.

How to Vote in the “Class Name Selection” Event

Fans can participate in choosing names for each decade-themed class through a voting event on the Mnet Plus app. The voting period started on September 17 and will run until September 20 at 11:59 PM KST.

To vote, users need to open the Mnet Plus app, tap on the “Class Name Selection Voting” banner, and choose one name from five options for each of the three classes. Each account can vote up to three times per day, and votes reset at midnight KST. Suspicious voting may lead to votes being canceled or accounts temporarily blocked.

The voting also offers rewards. The more a fan votes, the higher their chance of being selected for a special event related to the show.

No Eliminations in This School-Themed Show

“Reply High School” is described as a time-slip growth variety show. The trainees will live together in a dorm around the clock, with no eliminations and no option to go home during filming. Through lessons and daily activities, they will experience the emotions and culture of the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s.

The show is produced by Shin Hyo Jung and written by Kim Dae Joo, who previously worked on SEVENTEEN’s “NANA Tour” and “NANA bnb.” It aims to showcase the trainees’ journey as they grow into artists ready for debut.

SMTR25’s Path So Far

SMTR25 is a multinational male trainee group under SM Entertainment. The group’s name reflects its 25 members, though only 11 had been publicly introduced before this show. They first performed at the “SMTOWN LIVE 2025” concert in Seoul in January 2025, celebrating SM’s 30th anniversary. Since then, they have performed in cities like Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo.

The group is expected to debut in separate teams starting in 2026. “Reply High School” is part of their introduction to the public, building excitement ahead of their official debut.
