After two emotionally heavy episodes exploring Loid Forger’s painful childhood, the latest installment of Spy x Family Season 3 returns to a familiar blend of spy thriller and family comedy. The new episode shifts focus to the commanding Sylvia Sherwood and a school day in the life of Anya Forger.
The episode, which released on October 25, 2025, splits its narrative between a high-stakes mission led by Loid’s handler and a lighthearted, confusing day for Anya at Eden Academy. It balances a lesson on the dangers of misinformation with classic family humor.
Sylvia Sherwood Handles a Political Crisis
The first half of the episode centers on Sylvia Sherwood, the leader of WISE known as the Fullmetal Lady. A famous Ostanian opera singer, Jonas Wellman, is in Westalis for a major cultural exchange concert meant to strengthen ties between the two nations. However, just before the event, scandalous rumors about Wellman spread rapidly through the news.
The reports, originating from right-wing Ostanian media, accuse the singer of everything from having a secret lover and leaking intelligence to mocking war veterans. Public outrage grows, and even rookie agents within WISE are quick to believe the reports. Sylvia, however, remains skeptical and focused on the mission. She sternly advises a young agent that a spy’s job requires critical thinking, not jumping to conclusions based on rumors.
She reminded the rookie to never jump to conclusions based on assumptions because that one mistake can cost lives.
When a death threat is made against the singer, Sylvia is the only one who continues to take it seriously, even after the news cycle clears Wellman’s name. Her vigilance proves crucial when she spots a suspicious security guard at the opera house. As the guard prepares to shoot the singer, Sylvia single-handedly subdues him using only her belt. The would-be assassin is revealed to be a troubled Ostanian army veteran. In a twist, Sylvia later discovers that some of the initial rumors about the singer were actually true, reinforcing her lesson on the complexity of truth in their world of espionage.
Anya Forger’s “Elegant” Misadventure
The episode’s second half provides comic relief, shifting to Anya Forger at Eden Academy. After her school bus is delayed, Anya is persuaded by her teacher, Mr. Henderson, to help him with a chore in exchange for sweets. Seeing that Anya has already earned two Tonitrus Bolts, the school’s version of a demerit, Henderson seizes the opportunity to mentor her.
He tries to explain the importance of discipline, hard work, and patience in becoming an Imperial Scholar. He shows her a gallery of former scholars who achieved great success, including one who overcame six Tonitrus bolts. Anya, however, misunderstands his profound advice, thinking he is giving her a literal lesson on handkerchiefs and cleanliness. Her adorable literal interpretations and singular focus on the promised sweets leave the elegant Mr. Henderson mentally exhausted.

A Suspicious Study Request at Home
The episode ends with a classic Forger family moment. When Anya returns home, she uses her telepathy to sense that both Loid and Yor had difficult days. In a sweet but misguided attempt to cheer up her father, she unexpectedly asks Loid to help her study.
This request is so out of character for Anya that Loid is immediately shocked. His mind races to the worst possible conclusion: that she must have earned another Tonitrus bolt at school. The sheer stress of this thought causes him to nearly faint, while Yor offers her support, accidentally encouraging Anya’s spy fantasies. The scene ends on a funny note, highlighting the ongoing chaos of the Forger household.
