Sydney Sweeney has finally responded to the viral leaked photos of her wearing a wedding dress on the set of Euphoria Season 3. The actress played coy about whether her character Cassie Howard is getting married but confirmed Cassie’s storyline will be more chaotic than ever.
During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sweeney was shown the leaked image of herself in full bridal attire. When Fallon asked if Cassie is getting married, she replied, “I can’t confirm or deny.” She then joked, “Who knows, that could be AI!” Fallon quickly shut down the idea, saying, “No, it can’t.”
The leaked photo sparked fan theories that Cassie might marry Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), her troubled love interest from Season 2. The set photo also featured intertwined initials “C” and “N”, fueling speculation. However, Sweeney refused to give any clear answers, teasing that she would reveal more details in a future interview.
Instead, she focused on Cassie’s mental state in the upcoming season. “Cassie is crazy,” Sweeney said. “Oh, she’s even worse.” This aligns with her previous comments in an Empire magazine interview, where she described Season 3 as “unhinged” and praised creator Sam Levinson for encouraging her to push Cassie’s chaotic energy further.
Euphoria Season 3 began filming in early 2025 after multiple delays. The show’s second season aired in 2022, meaning fans have waited nearly four years for new episodes. HBO has hinted at a possible 2026 release, but no official date has been confirmed.
Apart from Sweeney and Elordi, the new season will bring back Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. Special appearances include NFL star Marshawn Lynch, singer Rosalía, and actress Sharon Stone.
