The Rainbow Taxi team is officially back on the road. Following a successful two-part premiere that took them to Japan, Taxi Driver Season 3 continues this week with its next case. The new episodes will show the vigilante team taking on another injustice for victims who have nowhere else to turn.

The Story So Far

The first two episodes of the season, which aired on November 21 and 22, 2025, involved a complex human trafficking case. The team received a desperate call for help from a student named Yi-seo, who had become entangled in a loan-shark scam through an online game. Before she could give her full details, she was captured.

Kim Do-gi, played by Lee Je-hoon, infiltrated her school by disguising himself as a substitute homeroom teacher. He learned that Yi-seo and her friend were tricked into taking massive loans and were unable to pay them back. The loan sharks forced Yi-seo to go to Japan to “work off” her debt. To track her down, the team’s hacker, Go-eun, deliberately fell into the same trap and was also taken to Japan, with the rest of the Rainbow Taxi team following close behind.

In Japan, they discovered the loan shark operation was a front for a large-scale human trafficking ring led by a man named Matsuda. Do-gi used multiple disguises to get close to Matsuda, eventually infiltrating his inner circle. After a dangerous mission that involved an illegal auction and a fake betrayal of his own team leader, Do-gi and the team located the hidden victims. They fought Matsuda and his men, leading to his death at the hands of Interpol. All the women, including Yi-seo, were rescued, and the team returned to South Korea to deliver final justice to the Korean partners of the criminal ring.

A New Case Begins

The upcoming episodes will see the team dive into a fresh case rooted in corruption. A preview shows team leader Jang Seong-cheol meeting a taxi driver driven to despair. The driver explains that his taxi’s license plate was revoked because the vehicle was previously involved in a DUI accident. Even though he had no connection to the incident, he is being forced to bear the consequences and cannot find a lawyer to take his case.

The Rainbow Taxi team begins to investigate this injustice. Their search points them toward a lawyer who was disbarred for killing someone, as well as several powerful figures who appear to be manipulating the situation from behind the scenes. The new story will explore this hidden network of corruption and show how the team works to clear the name of an innocent man.

The Team Behind The Wheel

The new season sees the return of the main cast that fans have come to love. Lee Je-hoon leads as the skilled vigilante driver Kim Do-gi. He is joined by Kim Eui-sung as the dependable leader Jang Sung-chul, and Pyo Ye-jin as the brilliant hacker Ahn Go-eun. The team is rounded out by Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram as the engineering experts Choi Kyung-goo and Park Jin-eon.

The season also introduces new supporting cast members, including Japanese actors Takenaka Naoto and Kasamatsu Sho, indicating that the show’s stories will continue to have an international scope. The series is based on the popular webtoon “The Deluxe Taxi (Red Cage)” by Carlos and Lee Jae-jin.

A Proven Success

The Taxi Driver franchise has become one of SBS’s most successful drama series. The first season aired in 2021 to high viewership and critical acclaim, earning Lee Je-hoon a Top Excellence Award. The second season, which aired in 2023, broke records by achieving a peak rating of 21.0%, making it one of the highest-viewed SBS dramas in recent years and winning Lee Je-hoon the Grand Prize (Daesang). The third season is poised to continue this tradition of delivering intense, justice-driven stories.
