The Rainbow Taxi team’s journey continues this week with two new episodes. Following a tense case closure, the secret vigilante group led by Kim Do-gi is set for a brand-new mission in the upcoming installments of the hit K-drama Taxi Driver Season 3.
Episodes 9 and 10 of the popular action thriller will air on Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20, on SBS TV in South Korea. The show runs during its regular weekly time slot, starting at 9:50 PM Korea Standard Time (KST). This continues the Friday-Saturday broadcast pattern established at the start of the season. International fans can catch the episodes with subtitles on the streaming service Viki.
The new episodes mark a shift to a different case, introducing a major new character to the season. While Episodes 5-8 focused on helping a father seek justice for his son, Episodes 9-10 are expected to start a fresh storyline.
Release Schedule and Global Viewing Times
Viewers around the world can watch the new episodes on the same day they air in Korea, thanks to streaming platforms. The scheduled release times for Taxi Driver Season 3 Episodes 9 and 10 are as follows:
- South Korea (SBS TV): 9:50 PM KST on December 19 (Episode 9) and December 20 (Episode 10).
- United States (Eastern Time): Approximately 7:50 AM ET on the same dates.
- United Kingdom (GMT): Approximately 12:50 PM GMT on the same dates.
- India (IST): Approximately 6:20 PM IST on the same dates.
- International Streaming (Viki): Episodes go live on Viki shortly after the Korean broadcast ends.
For fans in other regions, including parts of Southeast Asia, the drama may also be available on the service Viu. In South Korea, the show streams on Wavve, and in the Americas, it is also available on Kocowa. Taxi Driver Season 3 is a 16-episode season, with the final episode set for January 10, 2026.
What to Expect in the New Episodes
The storyline for Episodes 9 and 10 begins a new case for the Rainbow Taxi team. The episodes will introduce actress Jang Na-ra as a character named Kang Joo-ri. Details about her role are being kept under wraps, but her appearance is expected to signal the start of a significant new mission for Kim Do-gi and his crew.
This follows the conclusion of a major story arc in Episode 8. In that episode, the team successfully delivered justice for Park Dong-su, a father who spent 15 years searching for the truth behind his son’s death. With that emotional case closed, the team is moving forward to help their next client.
A behind-the-scenes error by the SBS YouTube channel gave a minor, early peek at Episode 9. A preview was accidentally uploaded and then quickly removed, but it was enough to increase fan curiosity about Jang Na-ra’s character and the new plot.

The Core Cast Returns for Action and Justice
The complete main cast is back for the new episodes, continuing their roles from the previous two seasons.
- Lee Je-hoon plays Kim Do-gi, the former special forces soldier and dedicated driver for Rainbow Taxi. His skill at transforming into different personas to infiltrate criminal operations remains central to the team’s success.
- Kim Eui-sung returns as Jang Sung-cheol, the CEO of Rainbow Taxi Company and the founder of the Blue Bird Foundation. He is the team’s strategic leader who selects their missions.
- Pyo Ye-jin is Ahn Go-eun, the team’s brilliant hacker and tech expert. She provides crucial support by gathering information and disabling security systems.

The drama is based on the webtoon “The Deluxe Taxi (Red Cage)” by Carlos and Lee Jae-jin, which draws inspiration from real-life crimes in Korea.
The show has performed well in ratings since its November premiere. Recent episodes have achieved nationwide viewership ratings above 10% in South Korea, demonstrating its continued popularity.
