A fresh Paramount+ Top 10 chart from September 11, 2026 has revealed something unusual for the streaming service. Lioness sits at number one, but every other Taylor Sheridan show has disappeared from the list. That includes Yellowstone, Landman, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Dutton Ranch, The Madison, and Marshals — titles that normally fill multiple spots on the chart.
The absence marks a sharp shift for Sheridan, who has been the backbone of Paramount+ for years. Landman is currently ranked No. 8 or No. 9 on the US Paramount+ chart, according to FlixPatrol data, and sits at No. 24 on the Amazon VOD chart. The show’s third season will not arrive in 2026, and filming delays have pushed its return to 2027.
Landman Was a Streaming Giant Just Months Ago
The drop is striking because of how well Landman performed earlier this year. Season 2 premiered on November 16, 2025, and the finale aired on January 18, 2026. The finale drew 14.8 million views globally in its first 48 hours, marking the biggest finale audience for an original series on Paramount+ at the time. That was a 70% increase from the Season 1 finale’s 8.7 million viewers.
Season 2 episodes averaged 14.9 million global views in their first seven days, a 58% jump over Season 1. Nielsen data showed Landman amassed 12.4 billion minutes viewed in the first six months of 2026, ranking 13th overall among all TV shows and 4th among original streaming series.
The show stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, an oil industry landman navigating the rough world of West Texas oil fields. Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, and Michelle Randolph round out the main cast. Landman holds an 80% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, though its audience score dropped to around 35-40% for Season 2, down from 64% for Season 1.
Lioness Carries the Sheridan Banner Alone
The only Sheridan show holding strong on Paramount+ right now is Lioness. Season 3 premiered on August 2, 2026, and new episodes release weekly, with the finale set for September 20, 2026. The spy thriller stars Zoe Saldaña and has received positive responses from viewers and critics.

Why Landman Season 3 Is Taking So Long
Production on Landman Season 3 was originally set to begin in May 2026, but that start date was pushed to August, then again to late September 2026. Actor James Jordan, who plays Dale Bradley, shared an update with Us Weekly about the timeline.

Jordan also noted that filming will continue through the first quarter of 2027, which rules out any premiere before the middle of next year. The show was renewed for Season 3 in December 2025, ahead of the Season 2 finale.
Michael Kelly, known for his roles in House of Cards and Jack Ryan, has joined the cast for Season 3. The new season will explore Tommy Norris running his own oil company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, after leaving his previous role. The story will focus on Tommy’s relationship with his son Cooper (Jacob Lofland) and his father T.L. (Sam Elliott), with filming taking place in North Texas around Fort Worth.
Sheridan’s Move to NBCUniversal Looms
The timing of the streaming dip comes as Sheridan prepares for a major career shift. In October 2025, he signed a five-year deal with NBCUniversal for film and television projects. That deal officially begins on January 1, 2029, after his current Paramount contract ends in 2028.
Sheridan’s Paramount deal includes clauses that require him to keep delivering scripts and overseeing his existing shows through the end of his contract. This means more Sheridan content is still coming to Paramount+ in the near term.

What Is Still Coming to Paramount Plus
Several Sheridan shows are still on the way to Paramount+ and CBS before his deal ends. Marshals Season 2 premieres on October 4, 2026, on CBS and streams on Paramount+. The show stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton and will have an expanded 18-20 episode season.
Tulsa King Season 4 and Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 are both expected to release on Paramount+ later in 2026. Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, was renewed for Season 2 in June 2026. The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, aired its first season earlier this year.
Landman Season 3 is the furthest out, with a likely premiere in mid-to-late 2027. The delay means the show will spend more than a year off the air before new episodes arrive.
