Jack Dawkins has escaped his past in London. Once a pickpocket known as the “Artful Dodger,” he now works as a respected surgeon for the Royal Navy. His quiet life is upended when his old mentor, Fagin, arrives in town. Fagin soon drags Jack back into a life of crime to pay off a large gambling debt.
