The cast of The Witcher Season 4 came together in London on October 23, 2025, for the show’s global premiere. The event marked the first public appearance of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, who takes over the role for the final two seasons. The stars walked the red carpet at the Curzon Mayfair, building excitement for the new season’s release on October 30, 2025 on Netflix.
A New Geralt of Rivia Steps Into the Spotlight
Liam Hemsworth made his debut as the new Geralt of Rivia at the London premiere, accompanied by his fiancรฉe, Gabriella Brooks. Hemsworth takes over the role from Henry Cavill, who played the monster hunter for the first three seasons. The actor was seen interacting with fans and posing for pictures, officially beginning his journey as the White Wolf.
Hemsworth is not the only key cast member returning. Anya Chalotra, who plays the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Freya Allan, who plays Princess Ciri, were also in attendance. The two leading ladies were photographed together on the red carpet, showcasing the strong bond their characters share.
The Full Continent on the Red Carpet
The premiere saw a massive turnout from the show’s extensive ensemble cast. Fan-favorite Joey Batey, who returns as the bard Jaskier, was present. The event also featured a powerful gathering of the show’s sorceresses. Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mecia Simson (Francesca), Therica Wilson-Read (Sabrina), and Mimรฎ M Khayisa (Fringilla) all walked the carpet.
New and returning characters were well represented. Laurence Fishburne, who joins the cast as the world-wise barber-surgeon Regis, attended the premiere. Other notable cast members included Bart Edwards (Emhyr), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), and Royce Pierreson (Istredd). The group of young actors playing The Rats, who become Ciri’s new found family, also posed for pictures together.
What to Expect in The Witcher Season 4
Season 4 continues the story after the Continent-altering events of Season 3, which left Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer separated by war and countless enemies. The official logline for the new season states that as their paths diverge, they will encounter unexpected allies and form new “found families,” which may be their only chance to reunite for good.
For Geralt, this means his journey to find Ciri and Yennefer will see him joined by Jaskier and the fighter Milva, forming the beginning of a group known to book fans as the “Hanza.” Ciri, having survived the Korath Desert and taken on the new identity of Falka, will find her own new family with the rebellious teenage gang, The Rats. Meanwhile, Yennefer will step into a leadership role at Aretuza, grappling with her new responsibilities in the wake of her mentor Tissaia’s death.
The new season will also introduce other key characters from the books, including Sharlto Copley as the bounty hunter Leo Bonhart and Danny Woodburn as the dwarf Zoltan. Seasons 4 and 5 are being filmed back-to-back and will cover the final three books in Andrzej Sapkowski’s series: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake.
A Glittering Event for Fans and Cast
The global premiere was held in London’s West End, with fan pens allowing attendees to see the cast arrive. The event was a celebratory gathering for the cast and crew, many of whom have been working on the production for years. The stars spent time taking photos with each other, speaking with press, and meeting fans who had gathered for the occasion.
The Witcher Season 4 will be available to stream on Netflix on October 30, 2025. The series has already been renewed for a fifth and final season.
