Originally, Park Sung Hoon (Squid Game) was cast as the male lead. However, he stepped down in January 2025 after facing backlash for sharing an explicit movie poster on Instagram. Lee Chae Min, who recently gained attention for his roles in Hierarchy and Crushology 101, was quickly brought in as his replacement.
“Park Sung Hoon’s exit was unavoidable due to the controversy, but Lee Chae Min’s casting has brought fresh excitement,” a source close to the production said.
