The popular variety show “You Quiz on the Block” has removed an episode featuring actress Han Ga In from its streaming platform, TVING. This decision came after Han Ga In found herself at the center of a public controversy related to her children’s education.
Episode Removal from TVING
According to reports, episode 282 of the tvN program, “You Quiz on the Block,” which aired on February 26th, is no longer accessible on TVING. The episode featured various guests, including short-track speed skating national team members and student Yoon Joo Eun, alongside Han Ga In.
Controversy Arising From “Daechi Mom” Associations
Han Ga In’s appearance sparked debate after she was linked to the terms “Daechi Mom” and “Dochi Mom.” These terms refer to mothers heavily invested in their children’s private education, particularly in the Daechi-dong district of Seoul. The controversy began following a comedy parody by Lee Soo Ji which made topic popular.
A previous video of Han Ga In taking her children to private academies increased public scrutiny.
This resulted in malicious online comments directed at her children.

Ahn Joo Hee, the producer of Honeybee Studio, managing Han Ga In’s YouTube channel, confirmed that the video was removed to protect her children from these harmful comments.
Han Ga In’s Clarification and Continued Negative Sentiment
Han Ga In attempted to address the issue during her “You Quiz on the Block” appearance, stating, “Because of my image, people think I push my kids to study excessively, but that’s absolutely not true.” However, the negative online reaction persisted.
Even with the episode being pulled from TVING, clips of her appearance do remain available on the official “You Quiz on the Block” website, portal sites, and YouTube.
