The third and final season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is now streaming on Disney+, concluding the journey of the galaxy’s youngest Force users. All seven episodes of the animated show’s last chapter debuted on December 8, 2025. This season not only brings back the core group of younglings and their mentors but also features a meaningful return from the show’s original voice actor for a special finale appearance.
The Core Trio of Young Jedi Return for Final Lessons
The heart of the series continues to be the three younglings learning the ways of the Force on the planet Tenoo.
Kai Brightstar, the eager and ambitious leader of the group, is voiced in this season by Ja’Siah Young. Kai’s homeworld is Hosnian Prime, a planet with significant future importance in the Star Wars galaxy. His determination sometimes leads to risky choices, but his leadership was crucial during a pirate invasion of the Jedi Temple in a prior season.
Lys Solay, a Pantoran youngling and Kai’s best friend, returns with Juliet Donenfeld providing her voice. Lys is known for her calm and thoughtful personality, which often balances out her friends’ more impulsive actions. She has also formed a special connection with the wildlife on Tenoo.
Nubs, the adorable and strong youngling of the Pooba species, is voiced once again by veteran voice actor Dee Bradley Baker. Nubs is not only skilled with the Force but also possesses notable physical strength. A look ahead in the season’s trailer suggests viewers will see an older version of Nubs, hinting at the younglings’ future paths.
Jedi Masters and Padawans Guide the Way
The younglings’ training is supported by several experienced Jedi, both masters and older apprentices.
The iconic Master Yoda, head of the Jedi Council during the prosperous High Republic era, continues as a guiding figure. He is voiced by Piotr Michael. At this point in the Star Wars timeline, Yoda is at the peak of his power and wisdom, personally assigning missions to test the younglings.
Master Zia Zanna, the Jedi Master from Tenoo who acts as the younglings’ primary teacher, also returns. She is voiced by Nasim Pedrad. Master Zia has forged a strong bond with Kai, Lys, and Nubs and believes in their potential to become full Jedi.
Two older Padawans also return to aid the heroes. Wes Vinik, the brave and intelligent apprentice of Master Zia, is voiced by Gunnar Sizemore. An excellent pilot, Wes often steps in to help when the adult Jedi are away. Celesta Kami, a Padawan training on the planet Batuu under Master Carver Drow, returns as a reliable ally. She proved her skills by answering the younglings’ call for help during the pirate invasion.
A Special Voice Actor Return for the Finale
A notable homecoming occurs in the season’s epilogue. Jamaal Avery Jr., who was the original voice of Kai Brightstar in Season 1, returns to voice an older, “Padawan-ified” version of the character. This return provides a fitting bookend to Kai’s story and suggests a look at the younglings’ future as they progress in their Jedi training.
New Friends and Foes in Season 3
The final season introduces new characters who challenge and assist the young Jedi. The main antagonist is Rek Minuu, a mischievous master droidsmith who builds dangerous droids to cause trouble. He is voiced by Mason Wertheimer.
On the friendly side, the younglings befriend Dotti, the kind owner of Dotti’s Droid Depot, who is voiced by April Winchell. They also befriend a trio of new droid companions: Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi.
The younglings’ loyal pilot friend, Nash Durango, voiced by Emma Berman, is back to fly them on their adventures. Other returning supporting characters include Cyrus Vuundir, also known as Taborr, voiced by Trey Murphy.
