2NE1 member Park Bom did not perform at the Head in the Clouds Festival in Los Angeles on June 1, 2025. The group appeared as a trio with CL, Sandara Park, and Minzy, sparking fan concerns. Her agency, D-Nation, confirmed her absence was due to scheduling conflicts and not internal issues.
Park Bom was in Los Angeles earlier but returned to Korea before the festival. Her Instagram post showing her in LA caused confusion among fans. D-Nation stated the members had agreed in advance to perform without her.
“The singer was in Los Angeles for other activities and returned to Korea in mid-May. Her absence from the performance was due to scheduling conflicts and was mutually agreed upon by all members.”
Fans noticed Sandara Park tagged Park Bom in her festival photos, hinting at their strong bond. Park Bom also posted an Instagram story with the caption:
“On my way to the 2NE1 gathering.”
Reports confirmed the four members met in Korea before the LA performance. This reunion eased worries about tensions within the group.
2NE1’s performance at Head in the Clouds was highly anticipated. The group last reunited at Coachella 2022 after disbanding in 2016. Their set included hits like “Fire,” “I Am the Best,” and “Clap Your Hands.” Fans sang along to Park Bom’s parts, showing support.
“Sing it for Bom,” CL told the crowd during the performance.
The festival marked 2NE1’s first major event since their 2024-2025 “Welcome Back” world tour. The tour celebrates their 15th anniversary and includes sold-out shows across Asia. An encore concert in Seoul is set for April 12-13, 2025, at the KSPO Dome.
Park Bom’s agency emphasized that her absence was not due to health or personal issues. The singer remains active in solo activities and group promotions.
2NE1 debuted in 2009 under YG Entertainment and became one of K-pop’s most influential girl groups. Their hits include “Come Back Home,” “Lonely,” and “I Don’t Care.” Despite disbanding in 2016, they reunited for special performances, proving their lasting popularity.
Fans expressed mixed reactions online. Some were disappointed, while others supported Park Bom’s decision.
“We love you Park Bom. God bless always! Hoping to see you in the next show with your 2NE1 sisters.”
“What happened to her eye??”
The group’s next performance is expected at their Seoul encore concert. Tickets sold out quickly, showing strong demand.
