Rapper 50 Cent has sparked reactions online after mocking claims that people were paid $20 an hour to wear “Free Diddy” shirts outside Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing trial. The hip-hop mogul is facing serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

A viral video showed a group of people outside the Manhattan federal courthouse wearing matching black shirts with “Free Diddy” or “Free Puffy” printed on them. Writer Emilie Hagen posted the clip, claiming the protesters were being paid $20 hourly to wear the shirts.

50 Cent shared the video on Instagram with a sarcastic comment.

“Diddy paying people to wear Free Diddy shirts is diabolical. But $20 an hour ain’t bad. I might go throw that on for an hour tomorrow.”

The bystander in the video refused the offer, saying she was told it was for a “Diddy coin.” She added that another woman had earned $60 the previous day for wearing the shirt for three hours.

There is no proof that Diddy or his team organized the protest. However, the timing and strange payment claims have fueled online debates. Some believe it was a publicity stunt, while others think it could be linked to a cryptocurrency called $DIDDY coin.

Diddyโ€™s trial has drawn massive attention, with key testimonies from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard. Both accused him of abuse. A DHS agent also testified about finding drugs and lubricants in Diddyโ€™s hotel room during his arrest.

50 Cent has been trolling Diddy nonstop since the trial began. Earlier, he posted an AI-generated image of himself as every juror in the case. He also joked about Diddy possibly getting the death penalty, even though thatโ€™s not a legal option for his charges.

The rapper has a long history of mocking Diddy. In 2006, he suggested in his song “The Bomb” that Diddy knew who killed The Notorious B.I.G. However, he never provided evidence.

Diddy has denied all charges against him. His lawyer called the prosecution “unjust” and highlighted his clientโ€™s business success and philanthropy.

The trial is expected to last several more weeks. Meanwhile, 50 Centโ€™s jokes keep going viral, adding more drama to an already intense legal battle.
