The latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 dropped on April 21, 2026, and it delivered one of the most talked-about moments of the series. Episode 6, titled “Requiem,” finally brought back Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, marking her first appearance in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe since her Netflix series ended in 2019.
The episode picks up right after Vanessa Fisk‘s death in Episode 5. A grieving Wilson Fisk kills the spiritual surgeon who tried to console him, setting off a chain of events that pushes the Kingpin further into darkness. With only two episodes remaining in the season, the resistance against Fisk is now spilling into the streets of New York.
Jessica Jones Makes Her Long-Awaited Return
The episode opens with a surprise that fans have been waiting years for. Jessica Jones is living in a suburban home with her young daughter, Danielle. When armed men from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force raid the house, Jones fights them off with her signature strength and attitude.
The young girl, Danielle, is a character from the comics. She is the daughter of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. While the episode does not mention Cage by name, comic book fans immediately recognized the reference. Jones reveals that her powers sometimes stop working since having her daughter, which creates real danger during fights.
Mr. Charles, the CIA contact played by Matthew Lillard, sent the gunmen after Jones because she turned down his offer to work for him. Jones later meets with Matt Murdock on a rooftop, and they decide to destroy an AVTF weapons warehouse together.
Matt and Karen Clash Over Bullseye
Karen Page and Matt have a heated argument about killing Bullseye. Karen wants to let the villain die for murdering Foggy Nelson and others close to them. Matt refuses, sticking to his moral rule against killing.
“Karen has every right to be furious with Matt,” one reviewer noted. “Bullseye has proven that he‘s an unrepentant murder machine, who has tried to kill Karen, did kill Foggy, and exacerbated problems by killing Vanessa. So what does Matt do? He brings him to the secret hideout and chides Karen for wanting him dead.”
This disagreement shows the growing tension between the two characters as the season moves toward its end.
Daniel Blake Tests BB Urich
Daniel Blake, played by Michael Gandolfini, celebrates his birthday by visiting his mother‘s home. On the way, he gives BB Urich fake information that Fisk will not run for mayor again. Buck Cashman told Daniel to feed BB false intel to see if she is leaking information to the public.
At Daniel‘s childhood home, viewers learn he was raised by a single mother with mental health issues. His room contains boxing trophies, suggesting he can fight when needed. Later, BB tries to start a romantic moment with Daniel, but he shows her an SD card containing damaging information about Fisk that someone slipped into her coat in an earlier episode.
The Resistance Takes to the Streets
Protestors gather outside City Hall to oppose Fisk’s rule. Karen, Angela, and others play recorded testimony from AVTF hostages that never made it to the media. The crowd grows larger as the episode progresses.
Meanwhile, Powell kills Officer Saunders, the AVTF member who helped Daredevil and Karen earlier in the season. Buck confirms Powell‘s suspicions about Saunders, and Powell pulls the trigger. He then blames the death on the protestors, leading to violence in the streets. Karen loses her wig during the chaos, and Powell holds her at gunpoint as the episode ends.

Fisk goes to the Red Hook Port and sits in front of the white painting, “Rabbit in a Snowstorm,” his last connection to Vanessa. Daredevil enters the room, and the two have a brutal fight. Matt offers a deal: both men leave New York for the good of the city. Fisk refuses.
The fight ends in a stalemate, but the painting is destroyed. With Fisk‘s last link to Vanessa gone and Karen captured, the stage is set for an intense final two episodes.
Fan Reactions to Episode 6
Viewers took to social media to share their excitement about Jessica Jones‘ return. One fan wrote:
“JESSICA JONES IS BAAAAACK. And with Danielle Cage oh my goodness.”
Others praised the fight scenes but had mixed feelings about the ending. A fan commented:
“The new episode was so great. Welcome Back Jessica Jones. I was lowkey expecting Fisk to have a bigger crashout, but it seems like he’s way too sad to be angry right now.“
