Netizens continued to demand for proof.
Recently, NCT’s Renjun has been exposing sasaeng’s personal information through the fan app Bubble. Earlier this month, he revealed the account handle of a sasaeng selling the group members’ personal information.
A sasaeng is an obsessive fan who invades the privacy of Korean idols, drama actors, or other celebrities.
In his most recent message, he exposed the phone number of an alleged sasaeng.
However, the owner of the phone number posted a full statement online, revealing that they were not a sasaeng and did not have any intention of calling Renjun.
They also stated that although calling the wrong number was a mistake, it was not intentional.
I have received a massive amount of verbal abuse and had to change my phone number all because I made a mistake calling the wrong number. I am requesting a proper explanation from SM.

The matter received mixed reactions from netizens, and many requested that they post proof of everything they could and take legal action.
Maybe you could try and verify with proof that you went to the police station. That way, there will be fewer people who criticize you out of ignorance. You should also save all the verbal abuse (especially texts) and send them to the company. Then maybe you could receive compensation for damages…
The alleged victim posted proof of going to the police station by revealing the registration number on June 20 at 4:38 PM KST.
They also posted the receipt of the taxi they took to get to the police station.
Some people even asked them to post photos of their subscription list on their phone.
They also revealed the text messages regarding sharing Laftel (animation streaming service) with friends before the phone number was exposed.
This is the conversation about finding someone to share Laftel with before my number was exposed. I just wanted to find someone to share the service with to watch some animation. I am posting this online because people keep saying that the Laftel part is a lie.

Hello! Are you still looking for people to share an account?
Yes we are still finding people!”
“Alleged victim: Friend A, Friend B, I heard you can find people if you post something.

Person C: Hello!
Friend A: Hello! @*** (alleged victim)
Alleged victim: Wait, my phone number has been exposed.
Friend A: Ok. Did you verify your number earlier?”
They added more regarding the proof in the comments.
To explain in short, I use an iPhone and I searched for Friend A through my contacts and not using the keypad. I called the number that was saved with Friend A’s name but that happened to be Renjun. I don’t know why Renjun’s number was saved under my friend’s name. After I heard him say, ‘I will report you’, I was taken aback. I even thought maybe it was my friend’s dad joking around with me….
Netizens were appalled that the alleged victim had to continue to post proof and verify everything to everyone.
- “Why are they demanding all this from them. If this person is really lying, Renjun can just file a report. Why don’t you just report SM and stop bothering them.”
- “Wow crazy, why does the victim have to verify everything.”
- “Everything would be understood if he just apologizes…why isn’t he?”
- “At least person can change their number..imagine if they were someone that couldn’t change their number because of work…then what.”
- “Hurry up and apologize.”
- “The fans are all trolls. Why are they demanding things from the victim.”
- “Just apologize, idol.”
- “Apologize!”
- “They need to report the singer. This is crazy.”
- “What are you doing to the victim. The singer needs to apologize and the fans need to be punished too. Why are they bullying them.”
- “The singer who exposed the number and the fans sided with him all need to be reported. Who are they to expose a number and cyber bully them. If they are really a sasaeng, report them!”
- “The victim is receiving so much hate and verifying everything while the fans are trying to protect the singer, saying he is sick. No matter the circumstances, the attacker is an attacker.”
- “Can’t believe they have to verify that they are a victim.”
- “He still hasn’t apologized? The fans and the singers are such trash.”
- “What is all this…what a nuisance idol.”
- “Exposing the number is one thing, but posting the number online to have fans bully them just shows what the singer thinks of their fans.
