The second-to-last episode of the Yellowstone spin-off‘s first season brings a drug cartel investigation and a rogue team member to Broken Rock Reservation.
The first season of Marshals is getting closer to its finish. Episode 12, titled “The Devil at Home,” will arrive on CBS this Sunday, May 17, 2026. This is the final episode before the season 1 finale.
The show follows Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, a former Navy SEAL and cowboy who leaves the Yellowstone Ranch behind to join an elite U.S. Marshals unit in Montana. The episode’s new trailer shows the team dealing with dangerous criminals while one of their own goes off on his own mission.

What Happens in Episode 11 “On Thin Ice”
Before the new episode arrives, episode 11 aired on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Titled “On Thin Ice,” the episode put Kayce (Luke Grimes) and Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) in a dangerous situation.
They had to transport a high-risk prisoner across a frozen mountain while surviving freezing temperatures. The two partners also dealt with old emotional wounds from their shared past that made it harder to work together.
The official synopsis from CBS and executive producers Taylor Sheridan and David Glasser states that Riley Green returned as the character Garrett in this episode. John Erick Dowdle directed the episode, with writing from Mark H. Semos and Maggie Schroeder.

The official synopsis for episode 12 reveals a major problem for the team.
“As they uncover a drug cartel targeting the Broken Rock Reservation, the Marshals race to locate Miles, only to discover that he has gone rogue to hunt down a trafficker.”
Tatanka Means plays Miles Kittle, a member of the Marshal team. The episode will show Miles leaving his official duties behind to track down a drug trafficker on his own. The rest of the team finds out about a drug cartel operating on the Broken Rock Reservation, and they have to find Miles before things get worse.
The episode is directed by Ruben Garcia and introduces a new character named Dendry. Actor Lonzo Liggins, known for his work in “Stop Pepper Palmer” and “Falling for Christmas,” will play this role.
In the teaser clip for episode 12, Kayce shows understanding toward Miles after learning that one of Miles’ friends died from a drug overdose. Cal warns Miles that going rogue will come back to hurt him. The team will likely split up to handle the cartel and keep Miles safe at the same time.
