The waiting period for spy thriller fans is almost over. Paramount+ has officially locked in the return date for its hit show The Agency, and the new trailer promises a more dangerous mission for Michael Fassbenderโs character, Martian.
The streaming service announced that all 10 episodes of The Agency Season 2 will drop on June 21, 2026. The news came alongside the release of the official trailer and first-look images on May 19. This new season brings back the tense world of CIA operatives, secret identities, and high-stakes betrayals that made the first season a ratings winner for the platform.
The Entire Second Season Arrives in One Drop
Unlike the first season, which followed a weekly release schedule, Paramount+ is changing its strategy for Season 2. The platform will release every episode of the new season at the same time on Sunday, June 21.
For viewers in the United States, the episodes go live at 12:00 AM PT / 3:00 AM ET. This global release pattern allows audiences to watch the entire story without waiting between weeks. Paramount+ decided on this approach to avoid spoilers and give fans a complete viewing experience from day one.
Martian Faces a Mole Hunt and a Personal Crisis
The new trailer shows Martian (Fassbender) in a worse situation than before. The official synopsis for Season 2 says he is “betrayed, compromised, and haunted by the woman he couldnโt save.” His lover, Samia (Jodie Turner-Smith), remains a political prisoner in Sudan, and Martian is willing to cross dangerous lines to rescue her.
The situation at London Station is also falling apart. A hunt for a mole inside the agency makes everyone suspicious of each other. The trailer shows Martian admitting he betrayed his country, raising questions about where his true loyalties lie. The tagline for the new season says, “The only way out is deeper in,” confirming that the character has no easy escape from his problems.
