The latest episode of From Season 4 pushed Kenny Liu to the edge of death. Kenny would go outside the post office with a special stick and stab one of the creatures. Boyd believed the weapon would kill the monster. But when Kenny stabbed the creature, nothing happened. The monster looked at him and said, “Just kidding.” That is when Kenny realized he had walked into a trap .
The rest of the creatures surrounded him from all sides. Kenny ran toward an old white bus and tried to lock himself inside. But Smiley grabbed the door and stopped him from closing it. Kenny climbed onto the bus roof to escape, but the creatures followed him. He was completely surrounded with no way out.
Fatima Saves Kenny Using Her Powers
Just when Kenny was about to die, Fatima stepped in. She has a deep connection with Smiley because she gave birth to the entity that the monsters used to resurrect him earlier in the season. Fatima visualized Kenny’s situation through red visions and realized he was in danger. She used her powers to make Smiley freeze. The creature screamed and turned back into his human form .
Kenny did not waste the chance. He pushed Smiley off the bus roof and scrambled back inside. He locked the door with a talisman and kept his distance from the creatures. Fatima saved his life just in time. The episode ended with her standing next to her crafted golem, showing that her powers are becoming stronger against the town’s threats.
Smiley’s Resurrection and Kenny’s Pain
Earlier in From Season 4, Fatima gave birth to an entity that the monsters used in a ritual to bring Smiley back to life. This was a huge shock for Boyd and Kenny. They had worked so hard to kill Smiley in Season 3, only to see him return. The creatures can now come back, and the Colony House basement is no longer safe.
Kenny has suffered more than almost anyone in the town. The creatures killed his father in Season 2. They killed his mother in Season 3. Now Smiley stood on that bus roof and bragged about murdering Kenny’s father. He mocked Kenny and asked if he would make the same sounds as his father died. That moment broke Kenny’s spirit. His survival no longer felt like a test of his strength. It felt like a cruel game where he had to suffer endlessly before he was allowed to continue.

From Season 4 Episode 8, titled “Heavy Is the Head,” will release on Sunday, June 14, 2026. The episode will be available on MGM+ in the United States and on Prime Video in India. The episode will likely show the aftermath of Kenny’s near-death experience and Fatima’s growing powers. The residents of the town now know that the old methods do not work anymore. They need a new plan to protect themselves.
