The upcoming tvN romantic comedy “My Bias, My Boss” is generating excitement among K-drama fans as it approaches its premiere date of August 3, 2026. Based on the popular Naver webtoon, the series features a talented cast including Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, Cha Woo-min, and ITZY’s Yuna. The drama follows an unusual workplace romance between a new employee who joins a company to meet her idol and the company’s CEO who finds himself losing his composure because of her.
Who Is Kang Ha-gu? A Deep Dive into Kang Hoon’s Character
Kang Hoon takes on the role of Kang Ha-gu, the CEO of a fashion startup called Apello. At first glance, Kang Ha-gu appears cold and firm. He has a sharp and uncompromising approach to business. His meticulous eye for detail has even earned him the nickname “Kangtail” among colleagues.
However, there is much more to his character than his professional image. Kang Ha-gu has a warm heart beneath his cool exterior. He successfully built his company from the ground up alongside his longtime friend Lee Chan, played by Cha Woo-min, transforming a small fashion shop into a thriving platform for emerging designers.

“My Bias, My Boss” centers on Nam Da-reum, a devoted fan who has followed idol-turned-actor Lee Chan for 11 years. She turns down an offer from a large company to work at Apello, where her bias works as a director. She expects to turn her passion into her career. But she ends up getting involved with CEO Kang Ha-gu.
Adding more romantic tension is Lee Chan himself. He begins to get involved between Nam Da-reum and Kang Ha-gu, creating a potential love triangle. ITZY’s Yuna plays Yoon Choi, an actress who adds another layer to the romantic tensions in the story.
The chemistry between the leads was visible during the first script reading. The actors completely focused on their characters from the start. Reports described the energy during the reading as feeling like a concert.
