Ariana Grande has announced changes to three upcoming shows on her Eternal Sunshine Tour, explaining that production challenges forced the schedule adjustments. The singer apologized to ticket holders and emphasized that safety was the main reason behind the decision.
The rescheduled concerts include her July 12 performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, which will now take place on July 14. Two Boston shows at TD Garden originally set for July 22 and July 24 have been moved to July 23 and July 26, respectively.
Ariana Grande Explains Tour Changes and Safety Concerns
Ariana Grande shared the news through her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 29, directly addressing fans about the schedule changes. The singer explained that her team identified production issues that needed to be resolved before the shows could go on as planned.
“We are so sorry for these unfortunate scheduling changes. This was our best and safest option as these challenges with production have come to our attention. The utmost important thing to us all is safety, first and foremost, and also making sure you all see the show how it is intended to run.”
Grande, 33, also expressed gratitude to her supporters for their patience during the adjustments. She closed her message by saying, “Thank you so much for your understanding and I cannot wait to see you.”
The affected venues confirmed the date changes and assured ticket holders that all previously purchased tickets would remain valid for the rescheduled performances. TD Garden and Barclays Center both stated that the remaining shows in each city would proceed as originally scheduled.
Technical Difficulties and Production Issues Behind Schedule Changes
The Eternal Sunshine Tour, which kicked off on June 6 in Oakland, California, has faced technical problems during its early run. Reports indicate that during her Los Angeles concerts at Crypto.com Arena, the LED screen curtain system failed to open and close properly.
Grande addressed these malfunctions during one performance, telling the audience:
“This has been such a special night. I can tell you how overwhelmed I feel. Thank you so much for showing us so much love. Also thank you for your understanding with our screens, our little tech difficulties.”
The production team reportedly recognized that more time was needed between cities to properly deconstruct and reconstruct the elaborate stage setup. Moving the affected dates provides additional days for the crew to address these concerns and ensure the show runs smoothly for audiences.
What Shows Were Moved and When
The rescheduled concerts include:
- Barclays Center, Brooklyn: The July 12 show moves to July 14. Other Brooklyn performances on July 13, 16, 18, and 19 remain unchanged.
- TD Garden, Boston: The July 22 concert shifts to July 23, and the July 24 show moves to July 26. The July 25 performance will happen as planned.
All tickets purchased for these dates will be honored at the new shows, and ticket holders will receive direct communication about the changes.

Ariana Grande’s Return to Touring After Seven Years
The Eternal Sunshine Tour marks Ariana Grande’s first headlining concert run since 2019. The tour supports her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, which dropped to strong reviews and commercial success.
Before hitting the road, Grande faced controversy when tickets sold out quickly and appeared on secondary markets at inflated prices. She addressed the issue in September 2025, promising fans she was working on solutions.
The tour includes stops across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It is scheduled to wrap up with a 10-night run at London’s O2 Arena starting August 15 through September 1.
Grande has hinted that this could be her last tour for a while. During a November 2025 podcast appearance, she said:
“I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time. I’m gonna give it my all, and it’s gonna be beautiful, and I’m so grateful.”
Despite the schedule disruptions, fans have largely supported the singer’s decision to prioritize safety and production quality over sticking to the original plan.
