Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 is finally arriving this summer with a special two-episode premiere. The new season brings back Rudeus Greyrat and the beloved isekai franchise for its biggest chapter yet.

The third season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation officially premieres on July 5, 2026, as part of the Summer 2026 anime lineup. The series will air on TOKYO MX, BS11, and other Japanese networks.

Special Two-Episode Premiere on July 4

Fans get an early treat with a special advance broadcast. The first two episodes will air back-to-back on July 4, 2026, at 8:00 PM JST on TOKYO MX, ABEMA, and d Anime Store.

These two episodes make up the “Eris Training Arc” , focusing on Eris Boreas Greyrat’s journey after she left Rudeus at the end of Season 1. Episode 1 is titled “Burn, Mad Dog” and Episode 2 is “Howl, Mad Dog” .

The special broadcast gives viewers a full hour of content dedicated to Eris’s story. After this special event, the series follows a weekly schedule starting July 12, 2026.

Split-Cour Release Format and Episode Count

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 runs for 27 episodes across two split cours. This makes it the longest season in the franchise’s history.

  • Cour 1: 14 episodes (Summer 2026)
  • Cour 2: 13 episodes (Expected early 2027)

The first cour begins with the double-episode premiere on July 4-5 and continues weekly through late September 2026. After Episode 14, the anime takes a break before returning with its second half in early 2027.

Why the Story Starts with Eris

Season 3 opens with the Eris Training Arc, showing what happened to Eris after she left Rudeus at the end of Season 1. Anime-only viewers have waited years to learn where she went and how she grew stronger.

The arc shows Eris’s brutal sword training in the Holy Land of Swords. She trains under legendary swordsmen and pushes herself beyond her limits. The story also introduces new characters including Nina Farion (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu) and Gal Farion (voiced by Tetsu Inada).

What to Expect from Season 3

Season 3 picks up right after the dramatic events of Season 2. Rudeus now has two wivesโ€”Sylphiette and Roxyโ€”and faces new challenges.
