What Happened So Far
The story follows Ephtal, the Sage of Wind, who was reincarnated from modern Earth into a world where magic is real. He dedicated his entire life to mastering magic but discovered he had no natural talent for it. He eventually died filled with regret.
However, that was not the end of his story. Ephtal reincarnated once again, 400 years later, retaining both his memories and his accumulated knowledge. In this new era, magic has declined dramatically. Powerful spells that were once common have become rare, and techniques that were considered basic in his time are now treated as lost arts.
In Episode 1, Ephtal was reborn and discovered that the world of magic had decayed significantly. His knowledge from his previous life, which he thought was useless, suddenly made him the strongest mage in the new era.
Episode 2, titled “The Invincible Genius – Lost Technology,” continued Ephtal’s journey. He enrolled in a prestigious magic academy to reclaim the true art of sorcery. He faced challenges from students and teachers who underestimated him because they believed he had little talent. However, Ephtal quickly proved them wrong by using ancient magic that no one in the current era could perform. The episode also introduced more of the supporting cast, including Anastasia and Marin, the head of the magic academy.
Episode 3 aired on July 9. While specific plot details for Episode 3 are still emerging, the series continues to build on Ephtal’s rise as he navigates the magic academy and confronts those who doubt his abilities.

Why Fans Are Watching
The series has gained attention because Ephtal’s strength does not come from a cheat skill or instant power-up. Instead, he earned his knowledge through years of hard work and dedication in his first life. That makes his rise to power feel more deserved and satisfying.
The fantasy world has regressed rather than advanced, and magic systems appear rooted in historical knowledge and lost techniques. The classic academy setting mixed with large-scale fantasy battles has also attracted viewers.
