Song Kang is making his comeback to the small screen with the upcoming drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas. This marks his first acting project after completing his mandatory military service. The new tvN weekend drama has just released its first teaser, giving fans a look at what to expect from the pianist-themed series.

The teaser, which dropped on July 1, 2026, shows the special connection between two piano prodigies. Song Kang plays Kang Bi Oh, a perfectionist piano student who always ranks first in both academics and music. Lee Jun Young takes on the role of Choi Jung Yo, a gifted pianist who turned away from his talent due to a difficult past.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas is scheduled to premiere on August 29, 2026 at 9:10 p.m. KST. The drama will air on tvN’s Saturday-Sunday time slot and will consist of 12 episodes. Netflix will also stream the series globally on the same day.

Teaser Shows Two Pianists Sharing One Piano

The newly released “keyboard teaser” highlights the chemistry between the two main characters. It opens with a camcorder shot of Kang Bi Oh (Song Kang) sitting at the piano, with Choi Jung Yo (Lee Jun Young) behind the camera. The date shown in the footage is November 2016, indicating the story takes place during their school years.

The teaser captures simple but meaningful moments from their daily lives at an arts high school. The two characters are seen sitting side by side at a single piano, playing together in perfect sync. They also walk home together through dark school hallways, always staying close to each other.

One playful moment shows Choi Jung Yo grabbing Kang Bi Oh’s hand and waving it at the camera while saying “Hello”. These small gestures highlight the pure friendship between the two young musicians.

The teaser takes a dramatic turn near the end. The music changes to “Danse Macabre,” shifting the atmosphere completely. While Choi Jung Yo becomes deeply immersed in the music, Kang Bi Oh gives him a meaningful gaze, creating tension between them. The teaser ends with the words, “Prelude: the moment our fingers touch”.

Duo Poster Released Alongside Teaser

Along with the teaser, tvN released a duo poster featuring both actors. The poster captures Kang Bi Oh and Choi Jung Yo seated side by side at a single piano, performing a four-hand piano piece against the backdrop of a dimly lit concert hall. Both characters have their eyes closed, fully immersed in the music.

The styling of the two characters contrasts sharply between black and white, highlighting their different personalities. The poster’s phrase “One Piano, Two Geniuses” hints at their relationship as both partners and rivals.

A separate poster shows both hands resting on piano keys with the words, “In front of the keyboard, our breathtakingly perfect chemistry”. The image and tagline have added to the excitement, giving viewers a taste of the deep connection the two characters share through music.
