ABC has officially set its fall 2026 premiere schedule, revealing when popular shows like 9-1-1, Grey’s Anatomy, the Scrubs revival, and many others will return to the screen. The network made the announcement on July 27, becoming the last of the major broadcast networks to confirm its autumn lineup.
The fall season kicks off in mid-September with sports and reality programming, while scripted heavyweights like the 9-1-1 franchise and Grey’s Anatomy will debut in October.
Dancing with the Stars and R.J. Decker Launch the Season
The fall lineup officially begins on Tuesday, September 15, with the two-night premiere of Dancing with the Stars Season 35 at 8 p.m. ET. The reality competition show, which recently earned its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program in a decade, will air its second night on Wednesday, September 16.
Following DWTS on September 15 at 10 p.m. ET is the Season 2 premiere of R.J. Decker, the private eye drama starring Jaina Lee Ortiz and Scott Speedman. The show replaces High Potential in the Tuesday night timeslot, as that series has been moved to midseason.
Monday Night Football simulcast with ESPN begins on September 14 at 8 p.m. ET, featuring the Denver Broncos against the Kansas City Chiefs. College football also returns on Saturday, August 29, with Alabama A&M taking on Howard.
Scrubs Revival Returns with Two-Episode Premiere
The Scrubs revival returns for its second season on Wednesday, September 30, at 8 p.m. ET with a two-episode premiere. The medical comedy, which was revived by ABC, claims a prime Wednesday night slot leading into the Season 18 premiere of Shark Tank at 9 p.m. ET, which also gets a two-episode debut.
Shark Tank will move to its regular Wednesday 10 p.m. timeslot beginning October 7.
America’s Funniest Home Videos returns for Season 37 on Sunday, September 27, at 7 p.m. ET, followed by The Wonderful World of Disney at 9 p.m. ET featuring Inside Out 2. 20/20 Season 49 premieres on Friday, September 25, at 9 p.m. ET.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, spins into the fall on Friday, October 2, at 8 p.m. ET.
Abbott Elementary Returns for Season 6
The Emmy Award-winning comedy Abbott Elementary returns for Season 6 on Wednesday, October 7, at 8:30 p.m. ET. The show joins Wednesday nights alongside the continuation of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Season 5 at 9 p.m. ET, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
9-1-1 Franchise and Grey’s Anatomy Anchor Thursday Nights
Thursday, October 15, is the biggest night of premieres for ABC this fall. The evening features back-to-back-to-back premieres starting at 8 p.m. ET:
- 8:00 p.m. – 9-1-1 (Season 10 Premiere)
- 9:00 p.m. – 9-1-1: Nashville (Season 2 Premiere)
- 10:00 p.m. – Grey’s Anatomy (Season 23 Premiere)
9-1-1 returns for its tenth season, while the sophomore drama 9-1-1: Nashville enters its second season. Grey’s Anatomy, the longest-running primetime medical drama in television history, anchors the night with its 23rd season.

Celebrity Jeopardy!, which was previously announced for fall, has been pushed back to 2027. Exact midseason premiere dates have not yet been revealed.
All original ABC programming will stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers. Dancing with the Stars will also simulcast live on Disney+.
