Prime Video’s new coming-of-age series Sterling Point arrived on August 5, 2026, with all eight episodes dropping at once. The show comes from creator Megan Park, who previously made the well-liked film My Old Ass, with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (the team behind The O.C. and Gossip Girl) serving as executive producers. The show also features a strong supporting cast including Bo Bragason as free-spirited Oona, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie as local seaplane pilot Ellis, Daniel Quinn-Toye as Rory, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as marina owner Joe.

The Creative Team Behind the Series
Megan Park created Sterling Point and serves as showrunner alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Park previously wrote and directed My Old Ass (2024), a coming-of-age comedy starring Aubrey Plaza, as well as The Fallout (2021), which dealt with the aftermath of a school shooting.
Park has spoken about wanting to create YA content that feels real and doesn’t talk down to young audiences. In an interview with Mashable India, she explained:
“Too often, shows tend to talk down to younger audiences, but they’re incredibly perceptive and deserve better. So authenticity was something I wanted to maintain at every step.”
She also told ELLE Canada that her guiding principle was simple: “This is the type of stuff that I want to watch”. Park noted that YA shows don’t have to be either “really, really dark and edgy” or “super, super light and fluffy” – there’s room for a mixture of both.
