The Netflix variety show “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” is coming back for a second season, but fans will notice a major change in the lineup. BTS member Jin will not be part of the new season, and the show is moving from a summer island to a snowy winter location. The new season brings three fresh faces to join host Kian84, and the release date has now been confirmed for September 2026.
Jin Confirmed to Sit Out Season 2
Netflix officially announced the cast for Season 2 on February 26, 2026, and BTS’ Jin is not on the list. The K-pop superstar, who was a key part of Season 1 alongside comedian Ji Ye-eun, will not return for the second run. Ji Ye-eun is also not coming back.

New Cast Members Join Kian84
While Jin and Ji Ye-eun are out, three new staff members are checking in. Kim Yeon Koung, the world-class volleyball star, joins the team along with Lee Junho from the K-pop group 2PM and actor, and Kazuha from the girl group LE SSERAFIM.

The new branch of the B&B, called “Branch 2,” is built on snowy slopes. The teaser trailer shows the cast dealing with tough conditions like shoveling heavy snow, hand-washing laundry without a machine, and sliding down poles. The group poster hints at the hard work ahead, with snow piled high and even a cow standing nearby.

Netflix has set the release date for September 22, 2026. The show will be available on Netflix globally. Earlier reports had suggested a release in the third quarter of 2026, and this date confirms that timeline.
The first season had nine episodes. The new season is expected to follow a similar format, with episodes releasing over several weeks starting from September 22.
What to Expect from the New Season
The second season promises even more chaos than the first. The teaser trailer shows Kian84 coming up with wild ideas, like floating in the sky with a giant balloon and drawing strange blueprints. The new staff members react with shock and disbelief. Kazuha even asks, “Can guests actually come here?”
The chemistry between the cast is already generating interest. Kim Yeon Koung complains, “Who on earth made this?”, and Lee Junho fires back, “You made it, hyung”. Director Lee So-min described the season as showing the “unique romance of winter—where people gather together around in a cozy room on a cold winter night in Daegwallyeong to eat, play, chat, and grow closer”.
Jin’s Busy Schedule
Jin’s absence from the show is likely due to his packed schedule with BTS. The group is preparing for their comeback album “ARIRANG,” set for release on March 20, 2026. They will also hold a free live concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, 2026. A Netflix documentary titled “BTS: THE RETURN” will follow on March 27, 2026.
The singer’s schedule appears to have made it impossible for him to film the variety show. However, he still showed support for the show by wearing “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” slippers when he returned to Korea in July 2026, giving the upcoming season some promotion.
