The Four-Year Wait
Pooja Meri Jaan was announced in 2022 and wrapped production nearly four years ago. The film was originally set to premiere on JioCinema, but the platform’s merger with Disney+ Hotstar created logistical problems. Director Navjot Gulati had spoken publicly about financial disagreements over the acquisition price between the platform and producer Maddock Films, which led to the long delay.
Gulati told HT City that the story deals with abetment to suicide, which he feels was relevant four years ago and remains relevant today.

Navjot Gulati directs the film and shares writing credits with Kanishka. Vipasha Arvind is the co-director. Niren Bhatt handled additional screenplay and dialogue. Vishal Mishra composed the music.
Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik produced the film under the Maddock Films banner. Sharada Karki Jalota and Pooja Prem Patheja are co-producers.
The film has received an A certificate from the Censor Board, with a runtime of around two hours.
