Ganesh Acharya has released the trailer of his own life story. The biographical drama Ganesh: Dust To Stardust traces his journey from a struggling newcomer to one of Hindi cinema’s most recognised choreographers. The trailer arrived on October 11, 2026, on the occasion of Navratri. The film will release in theatres on December 11, 2026.
What The Trailer Shows
The trailer gives a close look at Acharya’s early struggles, his sacrifices, and the role dance played in his career. It mixes dramatic storytelling with high-energy dance sequences that reflect his long association with choreography. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on X that the trailer presents an “emotional and high-energy narrative” and confirmed the December 11, 2026 release.
The first look of the film was released earlier on September 14, 2026, on Ganesh Chaturthi. That promo showed a dancer bowing before an idol of Lord Ganesha and then spinning rapidly, with vocals by Sonu Nigam.
Cast And Crew Of Ganesh Dust To Stardust
Shivanshu Soni plays the lead role and is making his acting debut with this film. Alok Shaw, Sukanya Kalan, and Sakshi Pawaskar are part of the main cast. Character details have not been shared yet.
Ganesh Acharya has written and directed the film. He has also developed the story. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Digangana Suryavanshi and Ganesh Acharya. Digangana Suryavanshi is making her debut as a screenplay and dialogue writer with this project.
Junaid Kumar has composed the music and background score. Lyrics are by Sameer Anjaan and Ganesh Acharya. Ajay Pandey is the cinematographer, and Rakesh Ram has handled the editing. Soundarya Acharya, Ganesh Acharya’s daughter, has produced the film. V2S Production & Entertainment LLP presents the film. PVR INOX Pictures is associated with its distribution and partnership.
Akshay Kumar And Ajay Devgn Share The Trailer
Akshay Kumar shared the trailer on his official Instagram account. He wrote a long note about his friendship with Acharya and recalled their early days of working together. Kumar said the choreographer’s first song was with him.
“Master ji and I go back a long way. I still remember that his very first song as a choreographer was with me. Today, seeing the heights he has achieved through his hard work and talent makes me extremely happy and proud.”
He also said that Acharya’s journey from a small beginning to where he stands today is the story of Ganesh: Dust to Stardust. Kumar added that the most special part is that it is Acharya’s own story.
Ajay Devgn also shared the trailer on social media, showing support for the film.
What Ganesh Acharya Said About The Film
Ganesh Acharya shared his thoughts in a statement. He said the film explores the idea that dreaming alone is not enough.
“I have always believed that everyone has the right to dream, but dreams don’t come true just by dreaming. You have to work hard, make sacrifices and keep moving forward, no matter how difficult the journey gets. That is the emotion we have tried to bring alive through Ganesh Dust To Stardust.”
He also said the film is very close to his heart and hoped that viewers would find their own dreams, struggles, and aspirations in it.
Soundarya Acharya, the film’s producer, said the film is about believing in one’s dreams even when circumstances make them seem impossible. She said watching her father bring this vision to life has been a special experience and that he has put immense passion, hard work, and emotion into every part of the film.

Ganesh Acharya began his career as a choreographer in the 1990s. He has worked on some of the most popular Hindi film songs, including Beedi Jalaile from Omkara, Chikni Chameli from Agneepath, and Malhari from Bajirao Mastani. He won National Film Awards for Best Choreography for Hawan Kund from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Gori Tu Lath Maar from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Apart from choreography, Acharya has directed films such as Swami (2007), Money Hai Toh Honey Hai (2008), Angel (2011), and Bhikari (2017). He has also acted in several projects over the years.
Release Information
Ganesh: Dust to Stardust will release in cinemas on December 11, 2026. The film will arrive in theatres across India and worldwide. No OTT platform or streaming date has been announced so far. The film is a theatrical release only for now.
