What Happened in Episode 14: The Amusement Park Date

Episode 14 continued the story right after Ito finally accepted that she has romantic feelings for her stepbrother Gen. The episode gave Raku, the calm and observant second brother, a bigger role after he spent most of the first cour quietly matchmaking Gen and Ito.

Raku grabbed a woman’s phone and posed as her boyfriend when she was being harassed, a moment that was clearly out of line even though he was trying to help. The episode also revealed that Raku may be aromantic, as he mused about why he spent all year helping his brother and stepsister instead of chasing romance himself.

The main event of Episode 14 was Raku setting up Ito and Gen on a date to an amusement park. The two ended up stuck on a ferris wheel together, ending the episode on a cliffhanger that Episode 15 will resolve.

Where Every Main Character Stands Right Now

Ito Narita has fully accepted her romantic feelings for Gen. She made honmei chocolate for him during Valentine’s Day but has not been able to tell him directly how she feels. Her struggle to be the perfect older sister while dealing with these feelings remains the central conflict of her story.

Gen Narita continues to be hard to read. He gave Ito cookies after she got upset during Valentine’s Day, showing his caring side beneath his blunt exterior. He understood what Ito was really saying during her “cabbage roll confession” but chose to act like it never happened, likely out of panic. The ferris wheel situation in Episode 15 will force him to address their relationship more directly.

Raku Narita has become a more active character in the second cour. He loves to meddle in other people’s lives, especially Ito and Gen’s relationship, but seems to have little interest in romance for himself. His subplot with Azusa Yashiro, a teacher, has raised eyebrows among viewers due to the age gap and professional boundaries involved.

Syu Narita, the reclusive third brother, and Rui Narita, the cheerful youngest, have had less screen time in recent episodes but remain part of the family dynamic.
