The Story at the Heart of Almost You

Almost You follows Phoebe, a gifted robotics engineer who is struggling to cope with the death of her younger sister, Edie. Against the rules of the tech company she works for, Phoebe uses years of text messages, videos, and social media posts to build a lifelike AI copy of her sister. The invention first brings her comfort and happiness. Then it forces her to face a much harder question: if you can bring someone back, should you? .

Juno Temple plays Phoebe, the engineer at the center of the story. Joey King is Edie, the sister who returns through technology. James McAvoy also stars in the film, though his specific role has not been disclosed in the initial casting reports .

A Ted Lasso Reunion with a Very Different Tone
