Paramount Television Studios had a September to remember on the streaming charts. Three of the four most-watched original series in the United States came from the same studio, according to Nielsen data for the week of Sept. 14 to Sept. 20, 2026. The shows are Neagley, Reacher, and Lioness. The only outsider in the top four was Netflix’s Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.
What the September Streaming Chart Showed
Nielsen’s original series ranking for that mid-September week placed Neagley at No. 1 with 1.776 billion minutes viewed. Netflix’s Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story followed at No. 2 with 1.481 billion minutes. Reacher landed at No. 3 with 1.420 billion minutes, and Lioness took No. 4 with 897 million minutes.
The chart measures viewing on television screens in U.S. households. Nielsen releases these rankings roughly two weeks after each measurement window. The numbers show that Paramount Television Studios, the television arm of Paramount Pictures, had a hand in three of the four biggest original series of that September week.
Neagley and Reacher stream on Prime Video. Lioness streams on Paramount+. All three are produced by Paramount Television Studios alongside their respective platform partners.
Neagley Led the Pack in Its First Week
Neagley arrived on Prime Video on Sept. 16, 2026, the same day as the Reacher Season 4 finale. All eight episodes of the first season were released at once. The spinoff stars Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, a character first introduced in the Reacher series and rooted in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels.
The debut drew 1.78 billion viewing minutes in its first five days, according to Nielsen. That was enough to rank No. 1 overall and No. 1 among original series for the week. Prime Video moved quickly and renewed the show for a second season.
Amazon shared additional numbers around the renewal. The first season reached 40 million viewers in its first 13 days, making it the fourth most-viewed original series debut in Prime Video history. About 52% of its viewership came from outside the United States.
“Audiences around the world have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios. “Maria Sten delivers a commanding, layered performance that drives every episode, and Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton have built a world that is both thrilling and compelling. We are excited to continue this story and explore what’s next for Neagley with our partners at Paramount Television Studios.”
The first season also featured Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher, appeared in a guest role.
Reacher and Lioness Kept the Momentum Going
Reacher wrapped its fourth season on Sept. 16, 2026. The show pulled 1.42 billion minutes for the week, placing it at No. 3 among originals. Over the six weeks since the season premiered on Aug. 12, Season 4 collected 5.8 billion minutes. The entire Reacher series has now crossed 8.3 billion minutes, with about 70% of that coming from Season 4.
Lioness closed its third season on Sept. 20, 2026, the final day of the Nielsen measurement week. The Taylor Sheridan spy thriller drew 897 million minutes and finished at No. 4 among originals. Season 3 had its first ever billion-minute week during its run. Across eight weeks, the season captured 3.9 billion minutes, a 62% increase over Season 2’s seven-week release window. The show’s first two seasons added another 2.5 billion minutes over the same period.
Lioness stars Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman, both of whom also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
The One That Broke the Streak: Monster
Netflix’s Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story was the only non-Paramount TV Studios title in the top four. The fourth season of Ryan Murphy’s true-crime anthology premiered on Sept. 17, 2026, with all eight episodes available at once. It drew 1.48 billion minutes in its first week and placed No. 2 among original series.
The season focuses on Lizzie Borden, the central figure in one of America’s most famous unsolved murder cases. The show’s strong debut kept Paramount TV Studios from sweeping the entire top four.
A Strong Month for One Studio
Paramount Television Studios had three shows in the top four at the same time, spread across two different streaming services. Neagley and Reacher performed on Prime Video, while Lioness carried the flag on Paramount+. The results show the studio’s reach beyond its own parent company’s platform.
The three shows also come from different corners of the TV landscape. Reacher is a straight-ahead action series based on a best-selling book franchise. Neagley is a spinoff built around a supporting character from that same franchise. Lioness is a geopolitical spy drama from one of television’s most prolific creators. All three found large audiences in the same measurement window.
Paramount Television Studios has a long list of credits, including Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, 13 Reasons Why, and The Offer. The studio’s output is spread across multiple streamers and networks. September’s Nielsen chart put that reach on full display.

The Nielsen numbers cover U.S. television screens only. They do not include mobile or computer viewing. Even with that limitation, the mid-September chart gives a clear picture of what American audiences were watching. Three of the four biggest original series came from the same production studio, a result that stands out even in a crowded streaming market.
