tvN’s upcoming comedy series “Happy Anding” has released a fresh teaser that shows its three leads fumbling through romance just as clumsily as they chase their dreams. The new footage, shared on October 27, 2026, puts the spotlight on the love lives of the comedy trio Asura and the women who enter their orbit. Starring Kang Hoon, Cho Hyun Chul, and Kim Jung Jin, the drama is set to premiere on November 11 at 10:50 p.m. KST on tvN, airing every Wednesday and Thursday.
The teaser arrives just days before the show’s debut and gives viewers a clear look at the romantic pairings that will run alongside the trio’s decade-long struggle to make it in comedy.
Three Couples, Three Very Different Kinds of Love
The new teaser, released by tvN, breaks down the romances of three couples: Kang Tae Gu (Kang Hoon) and Go Eun Young (Lee Yi Dam), Kim Nam Il (Cho Hyun Chul) and Lee Na Yeon (Moon Hee), and Han Jun Seo (Kim Jung Jin) and Go Ji Young (Yoon Ga Yi).
For Kang Tae Gu, love arrives without warning. Go Eun Young, described as “the girl who just lives next door,” walks into his life while he is still chasing a dream that has not paid off. She shows up like a sudden burst of change, and the teaser frames her as the force that shakes up his routine.
Kim Nam Il and Lee Na Yeon offer a different picture. The two have been together for 10 years, and their scenes carry the easy warmth of a couple that has already weathered plenty. Lee Na Yeon’s line, “How can someone be this adorably annoying?” captures the fondness of a partner who has stood by Kim Nam Il through his long, uncertain career.
Han Jun Seo and Go Ji Young bring the comedy. Go Ji Young flirts boldly and refuses to back down. When Han Jun Seo tells her flatly, “You’re not my type,” she fires back, “Then what is your type?” The exchange sets up a push-and-pull dynamic that stands apart from the other two romances.
What the Teaser Reveals About the Comedy Trio
The teaser does not shy away from the messy reality of Asura’s life. The three men are shown in ridiculous costumes, performing silly bits, and laughing at their own jokes while the people around them treat them like a nuisance. Kang Tae Gu leads with the line, “Just trust and follow me,” even as the group remains stuck in the same place they have been for a decade.
Their number one fan, Go Eun Young, narrates part of the teaser. She speaks about loving something that everyone else says is not worth it. “Something I like,” she says. “Even though everyone else says no. It has to be them.” Her words apply to all four of them—the three comedians and the woman who believes in them even when no one else does.
A Story Built on Ten Years of Trying
“Happy Anding” follows Kang Tae Gu, the leader and eldest member of Asura, who has spent 10 years in obscurity. Driven by his dream of becoming a comedian and his sense of duty to his team, he reaches a point where the reality he has been avoiding can no longer be ignored. Kim Nam Il is the group’s mood maker, but he is caught between the dream he has chased for so long and his love for his girlfriend, Lee Na Yeon. Han Jun Seo is the frugal one who handles the team’s money. He is kind to his bandmates but finds it hard to open up to anyone else.
The drama is a remake of the 2021 Japanese series “Life’s Punchline.” The original follows three young men in a comedy trio who decide to disband at age 28 after 10 years of chasing stardom. Facing the hard truth of having no career or savings while their peers move on to marriage and stable jobs, they find themselves in a quarter-life crisis. The Korean version keeps the core of that story while adding Korean-style comedy elements, including situational humor and dress-up skits, throughout the larger narrative.
Jung Ji-hyun, who directed “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” and “Dear Hyeri,” is at the helm. Ahn Ah-reum wrote the scripts, and Yang Hee-seung serves as creator.
Why the Cast Chose the Project
Kang Hoon said he was drawn to the script right away. “After reading the script, I wanted to be part of it without a moment’s hesitation,” he said. The story of young people who overcome pain and grow was what pulled him in.
He also spoke about working with Cho Hyun Chul and Kim Jung Jin. “We’re all introverts, so we were initially shy around one another, but we grew closer as filming went on,” Kang Hoon shared.
The production team described the drama as a story about young people who have given everything to their dreams as they set out to find another tomorrow. The poster for the series carries the phrase, “To the reckless yet brilliant youth,” which reflects the bond between the three men who have spent years in obscurity together.
