Two Monday-Tuesday K-dramas are giving viewers very different kinds of success stories this November. ENA’s “Between Steps” just posted its highest viewership number yet, timed perfectly for its last two episodes. Meanwhile, tvN’s “Love in Disguise” continues to defend its No. 1 spot in its time slot, even after a small dip earlier in the week.
According to Nielsen Korea, the two shows aired new episodes on November 3, 2026, and the results tell a clear story about momentum. One drama is peaking right before its finale. The other is holding steady at the top despite facing fresh competition.
“Between Steps” Scores Its Biggest Number Yet
Episode 10 of “Between Steps” drew an average nationwide rating of 2.821 percent. That is a new all-time high for the series, and it comes just one day after episode 9 had already set a personal best of 2.809 percent. The two-episode jump is small in raw numbers but important in context: the show has been climbing steadily since its premiere on October 5, when it opened at 1.762 percent.
The timing matters. “Between Steps” has only two episodes left. Episode 11 will air on November 9, and the finale is scheduled for November 10 on ENA. Heading into that final week with back-to-back record ratings gives the show a strong send-off narrative.
The series stars Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun. Choo plays Park Min Jae, a Ph.D. student in robotics who lost a leg to illness after a career as a swimmer. Kim plays Lim Yu Jin, a master’s student who found a new path after her original plans fell apart. The story unfolds inside a university robotics lab, and it is the final work of director Ahn Pan Seok, known for “Something in the Rain” and “Secret Love Affair”.
“Love in Disguise” Holds the No. 1 Spot
Episode 6 of “Love in Disguise” earned an average nationwide rating of 5.5 percent on November 3. That is a 0.5 percent increase from episode 5’s 5.0 percent rating. The number keeps tvN’s romantic thriller at No. 1 in its time slot among cable and general programming channels, a position it has held for every episode so far.
The show premiered on October 19 with a strong 5.6 percent nationwide rating and a peak of 6.7 percent. Episode 4 later hit an all-time high of 6.0 percent before episode 5 dipped to 5.0 percent. Episode 6 reversed that slide, putting the series back on an upward path.
“Love in Disguise” stars Yim Si Wan as Yoon Yi Jun, an arrogant chaebol heir who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case. Seol In Ah plays Kang Jae Hee, a former special forces officer who disguises herself as a male secretary to investigate him. The drama is adapted from the web novel “Why You Don’t Know It’s a Girl?” and runs for 12 episodes.
What Happened in Episode 6 of “Love in Disguise”
The episode picked up right after the sober second kiss between Yi Jun and Jae Hee. Jae Hee remembers the kiss, but Yi Jun insists he sees her as his “little brother”. Their bickering continues until a new development in the Secretary Han murder case pulls them back into serious territory. Yi Jun’s jealousy flares when he sees Jae Hee on what looks like a date with his fiancรฉe. He lashes out, and Jae Hee announces she is quitting her job as his bodyguard and personal assistant. The episode ends at an amusement park, where Yi Jun overhears a child calling Jae Hee “Dad,” leading him to assume she has a son.
Where to Watch Both Dramas
“Between Steps” airs on ENA in South Korea every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST. It streams on Genie TV domestically and on Disney+ and Hulu in selected regions, including the United States. The series is not currently available on Disney+ in India. Canadian viewers can catch new episodes on Disney+ Canada.
“Love in Disguise” airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. KST. It streams exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, including Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. New episodes arrive weekly, and the series is enjoying a strong response in India, where it ranked sixth on Prime Video India’s Top 10 list.
Ratings Context: A Tale of Two Shows
The two dramas occupy different lanes. “Between Steps” is a slow-burn romance on a smaller cable channel, and its ratings in the 2 percent range reflect that reach. “Love in Disguise” is a tvN Monday-Tuesday drama with a 5 to 6 percent audience, putting it in a different tier of viewership.
What connects them is timing. Both air on the same nights, and both have been rising in the ratings over the past week. On October 27, both shows hit their highest numbers at the time: “Love in Disguise” reached 6.0 percent, and “Between Steps” climbed to 2.7 percent. A week later, both are still moving up.
International Reach Beyond Korea
“Between Steps” has found a global audience through Disney+. As of October 29, it ranked No. 1 on Disney+ Korea’s Top 10 and No. 4 among Disney+’s global TV shows, according to FlixPatrol. It also entered the Disney+ TV Top 10 in 34 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, right after its second episode. The show’s realistic portrayal of a protagonist with a prosthetic leg has drawn praise from viewers. An advisor who lost his own leg in a motorcycle accident worked on the production from the planning stage, coaching the actor’s movements and even requesting a specific prosthetic leg model for the character.
“Love in Disguise” reaches international viewers through Prime Video’s wide distribution. The show’s mix of romance, comedy, and murder mystery has kept it at the top of its time slot in Korea and brought it into Prime Video’s Top 10 in India.
Final Episodes and What to Expect
“Between Steps” wraps up on November 10 with episode 12. Episode 11 airs on November 9. The final week arrives with the show on its highest ratings yet and with the story of Min Jae and Yu Jin heading toward its resolution after a time jump that separated the couple for a year.
