BTS’ Jungkook Involved in Controversy Over Support for NewJeans

On September 14, Jungkook of BTS became a focal point of discussion following two Instagram posts from his pet dog’s account. Jungkook wrote, “Artists are not guilty” and later added, “Don’t use them.” These captions were widely interpreted as a show of support for NewJeans, who are currently in a dispute with HYBE.

HYBE has stated they are verifying the situation, while their subsidiary, BIGHIT MUSIC, which manages BTS, emphasized that no young artists should be used in disputes. BIGHIT MUSIC clarified that Jungkook’s post was not a direct comment on the feud but was misinterpreted. The agency has not disclosed specifics about the captions’ context or targets.

NewJeans Calls for Min Hee Jin’s Reappointment as ADOR CEO

On September 11, NewJeans launched a new YouTube channel and conducted a surprise livestream, demanding the reinstatement of Min Hee Jin as CEO of ADOR by September 25. Min Hee Jin subsequently filed for an injunction to return as CEO, with plans to summon extraordinary shareholders’ meetings depending on the court’s decision. HYBE responded by criticizing her actions as disrespectful to ADOR’s board and maintaining that the decision was made by the board of directors independently of the shareholder agreement.
