A recent post has emerged from an online user, who claims to be a LE SSERAFIM fan and has taken a serious stance regarding BTS’s V and his contact with Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR, even while serving his mandatory military duty. The user states that they have filed a formal complaint with the Ministry of National Defense, urging a thorough investigation into V’s use of his cell phone during his military training period.
Contact with Min Hee Jin Sparks Controversy
In a recent interview, Min Hee Jin spoke with music critic Kim Young Dae about her interactions with BTS’s V, sharing that he sometimes contacts her despite his military responsibilities. she shared,
V sometimes calls from the military. It’s to the point where I wonder, ‘Is he really in the military?’ He’s doing so well there, and he’s always been such a bright and cheerful kid. We talk informally with each other. He’s genuinely such a sunny and lively friend. Even though I’m going through difficult times, he still says things like, ‘You’re okay, right?’ with such innocence.

Min’s remarks were intended to showcase his cheerful spirit, yet they inadvertently triggered a wave of public scrutiny.
Complaint Filed with Ministry of National Defense
Following Min Hee Jin’s interview, an online user with the ID 네 posted on a public forum on October 29, announcing they had submitted an official complaint to the Ministry of National Defense. The user, who alleges to be a LE SSERAFIM fan, questioned V’s ability to frequently use his cell phone during his military service. They mentioned a specific incident where V allegedly sent a message to Min Hee Jin on December 16, 2023, just five days after his enlistment on December 11. This time frame raised suspicions among some netizens, as it would have been during V’s initial training period, where cell phone use is typically restricted.
“The text message sent to Min was on December 16, five days after V enlisted on December 11. This is a serious violation of military law, and I believe officers are turning a blind eye to his cellphone use because he is a popular K-pop idol.”

The user’s complaint also referenced an incident involving Suga, another BTS member, who was involved in a separate controversy during his public service duties. The complaint emphasized a call for fairness and a need for the Ministry to uphold military rules, regardless of an individual’s celebrity status.
I hope they will conduct a thorough investigation. There is also a case of Suga, from the same group, who was caught drunk driving while doing public service work. I will share this petition on online community boards, too.

In the wake of the complaint, netizens investigated the identity and online history of the user 네오모프, who posted the allegations. They discovered that this user primarily shares content related to LE SSERAFIM and has previously defended HYBE while simultaneously criticizing NewJeans and Min Hee Jin. Netizens continue to share mixed responses, with some supporting the call for investigation to ensure equal treatment under military rules, while others argue the complaints are merely attempts to discredit BTS’s V amid HYBE’s complex internal relationships.
