CUBE Entertainment has officially confirmed that all five members of (G)I-DLE have renewed their contracts with the agency. This includes leader Soyeon, whose contract had already expired. Fans can now rest assured that the group will continue their journey together under the agency’s guidance.

Contract Renewals Confirmed by CUBE Entertainment

On December 2, 2024, CUBE Entertainment made the announcement, stating that they have successfully completed the contract renewals for all the members of (G)I-DLE, including Soyeon, Yuqi, Miyeon, Minnie, and Shuhua. This marks the continuation of their partnership with the agency after months of speculation.

Soyeon Addresses Fans at the 2024 Melon Music Awards

At the 2024 Melon Music Awards (MMA) on November 30, (G)I-DLE made an appearance. The group was awarded the Daesang (Grand Prize), a major achievement in their career. During her speech, leader Soyeon reassured fans, saying, “My contract expired, and these days there are many articles being released that are like (G)I-DLE is disbanding or (G)I-DLE is over. However, that is not true.”

She expressed the group’s determination to stay united, adding, “The five of us will be together from now on, next year, the year after, and really forever, so I hope NEVERLAND won’t worry. We will give back with good music next year, as well.” Her heartfelt message brought tears of joy to both fans and members.

A Legacy of Success

(G)I-DLE, a leading K-pop girl group under CUBE Entertainment, debuted on May 2, 2018. The group initially consisted of Soyeon, Miyeon, Minnie, Shuhua, Soojin, and Yuqi. They made a huge impact with their debut mini-album I Am and the song “LATATA,” which cemented their place as one of the top emerging K-pop groups.

Despite parting ways with Soojin in 2021, the group continued as a quintet, maintaining their bold and unapologetic musical identity. Their powerful tracks like “Wife,” “Super Lady,” “TOMBOY,” and “Nxde” have resonated with fans worldwide.

The renewal of contracts ensures that (G)I-DLE will continue to make waves in the K-pop industry for years to come.
