SEVENTEEN’s Rise to the Top
On January 11, 2025, GP Korea, a South Korean media outlet, released the January 2025 boy group brand reputation rankings. SEVENTEEN secured first place with 8,366,546 points, showing a 37.02 percent increase. This success follows several key events:
The group released their compilation album SEVENTEEN BEST ALBUM ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE’ on April 29, 2024, along with the music video for the title track MAESTRO.
SEVENTEEN became the first K-pop group to headline at the Glastonbury Festival 2024.
They also headlined the Lollapalooza Festival in Germany on September 7 and 8, 2024.
BTS and BIGBANG’s Strong Presence
BTS secured second place with 6,856,676 points, experiencing a substantial 51.24 percent increase in January 2025. Despite most members (excluding Jin and J-Hope) currently serving in the military (with expected discharge around 2025), the group maintains strong brand recognition.
