The first teaser for Ryan Murphy‘s next big series, The Beauty, is here, and it shows a world where getting beautiful could be the last thing you ever do. The trailer puts supermodel Bella Hadid at the center of its strange and stylish mystery, transforming on screen as part of a global epidemic.
The series is set to premiere on January 21, 2026. On that date, the first three episodes will be available. In the United States, they will air on the FX network and stream on Hulu. The story begins in the world of high fashion, where famous models are starting to die in shocking ways. FBI Agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are sent to Paris to find out why. What they discover is a virus. But this is not a normal illness. It is a sexually transmitted disease that changes how people look, making them physically perfect.
However, this “beauty” comes with a terrible price and leads to death. The show follows the agents as they travel from Paris to Venice, Rome, and New York, trying to stop the spread of this threat.
“Imagine a revolutionary new super drug that makes any old face drop-dead gorgeous,” the trailer says, “and everybody wants it.”
The main force behind this epidemic is a character known as “The Corporation,” a tech billionaire played by Ashton Kutcher. He created the drug and will do anything to protect his business. Working for him is a dangerous enforcer called The Assassin, played by Anthony Ramos. Another key character is Jeremy, played by Jeremy Pope, a lost person who gets pulled into the growing crisis.
While the series features a large main cast, the newly released teaser heavily features Bella Hadid. In it, she is described as a “fevered bombshell ready to explode”. The visuals show her undergoing a major physical change, starting as a wrinkled older woman and becoming her recognizable supermodel self. This happens after she takes a drink from a public fountain, a moment tied to the show’s “super drug”.
