This plotline connects back to Aaron Corval, Paige’s boyfriend, who was one of these sons.
In a major twist partway through the series, fan-favorite character Elena Ravenscroft, played by Ruth Jones, is killed. This shocking turn of events demonstrates the show’s willingness to take big risks with its storytelling. The producers acknowledged that they enjoy surprising viewers in this way, with Coben joking, “We love to kill off comedy legends”.
“Danny and I wanted to break your heart a little bit. It’s one of the reasons why you get an actress as lovable as Ruth Jones,” Coben explained about the character’s sudden death.
