The latest episodes of Daredevil: Born Again have arrived, and they bring major changes to the streets of New York. Episode 2, titled “Shoot The Moon,” dropped on March 31, 2026, alongside Episode 3, giving viewers a double dose of action and drama. While many expected the return of Bullseye to be a straightforward villain story, the show took a different path. The focus of Episode 2 is not just on the return of Wilson Bethel’s character, but on how he has chosen to operate this time.

Bullseye’s Shocking Role as a Guardian

At the end of the Season 2 premiere, Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) appeared out of nowhere to save Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF). Episode 2 picks up right after that moment. Cherry (Clark Johnson) is rushed to the hospital, and Bullseye disappears into the night. But his actions raise a big question: why is he helping the man he once tried to destroy?

The episode reveals that Bullseye has taken shelter in a church, asking for Sister Maggie. He claims he wants absolution for betraying people. This is a strange turn for a character known for his violent obsession with Daredevil in the Netflix series. His reasons are not fully explained yet, but his actions speak clearly. He is actively hunting AVTF agents, the same group trying to capture Matt. Later in the episode, Bullseye kills two AVTF goons who were harassing Cherry at the hospital, proving he is serious about this new role.

Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye is not acting like a typical villain here. He seems to be operating with his own code, targeting Fisk’s people and watching over Matt from a distance. The show seems to be setting up a complex dynamic where the line between friend and enemy is completely blurred.

Fisk’s Smart Move Against Matt Murdock

While Bullseye works in the shadows, Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) makes a political move that puts Matt in a dangerous position. After learning that Bullseye is helping Daredevil, Fisk refuses to simply reveal Matt’s identity to the public. His advisor, Buck, suggests they should unmask Daredevil as a villain. But Fisk explains that while that would be easy, they cannot do the same to Matt Murdock.

Fisk knows that Matt saved his life earlier in the series. If Fisk were to accuse Matt of being a vigilante, it would make Fisk look ungrateful and cruel. Instead, he takes a smarter approach. He announces to the city that Matt Murdock is alive and being targeted by vigilantes. Suddenly, Matt’s face is on missing posters and news reports everywhere. This forces Matt and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) to go into hiding. Now, supporters of vigilantes are looking for Matt to protect him, while those who hate Daredevil are hunting him. Fisk has effectively made it impossible for Matt to move freely in public.

Angela Del Toro Takes Up the White Tiger Mantle

The most significant development in Episode 2 is the emergence of a new hero. Angela del Toro (Camila Rodriguez), the niece of the late Hector Ayala (White Tiger), finally takes a stand. Earlier in the episode, Angela and her aunt Soledad are at a bodega when AVTF officers storm in. The officers violently arrest Soledad for trying to protect some kids. Angela watches helplessly as her aunt is taken away.

This moment pushes Angela over the edge. She goes to the law office and takes the box containing her uncle’s White Tiger amulet. By Episode 3, she is wearing white gear and helping Karen and Daredevil in their mission to free prisoners from Fisk’s detention center. While she does not have the actual amulet’s powers yet, her decision to take on the White Tiger identity signals a major shift. She is ready to fight back against the system that took her family.

Episode 2 and 3 Release and Streaming Details

The release schedule for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is different from the first season. Disney+ released Episodes 2 and 3 together on March 31, 2026. New episodes will continue to drop every Tuesday, with the season finale scheduled for May 12, 2026. For viewers in the United States, episodes are available at 6:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM ET. International viewers can catch the episodes at the following times:

  • India (IST): 6:30 AM (April 1)
  • Australia (AET): 12:00 PM (April 1)

How the AVTF Escalates the Conflict

The AVTF continues to be a major threat in Episode 2. Their aggressive tactics are shown clearly during the bodega scene. They do not try to de-escalate the situation. Instead, they beat the shop owner and the children involved, and they arrest Soledad simply for trying to stop them. This kind of behavior is turning ordinary New Yorkers against Fisk’s administration.

Later in the episode, the AVTF raids the hideout where Matt and Karen are staying. They use sound waves to disrupt Daredevil’s hearing, showing they have studied how to fight him. Although Matt fights them off and escapes with Karen, the raid proves that nowhere is safe. Karen ends up taking an AVTF officer hostage at Frank Castle’s old bunker, telling Matt it might be time to start hunting them instead of running.

BB Urich Confirmed as the Voice Behind the Mask

The episode finally confirms who has been running the “Fake Kingpin” video campaign. BB Urich (Genneya Walton) is revealed to be the person behind the mask. In a private moment with Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini), she admits she knows about the videos. When Daniel warns her that leaking information puts both of them in danger, BB plays it cool. But the reveal confirms she is actively working to take down Fisk from the inside, using journalism as her weapon.
