The wait is finally over for fans of the teenage detective with a knack for finding trouble. Emma Myers returns as the sharp-witted Pip Fitz-Amobi in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2, and the show has locked in a concrete return date. After the massive success of the first season, which topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 list upon its arrival in August 2024, the streaming service is bringing back the mystery thriller for another six episodes. This time, the stakes are higher, the mystery is more personal, and Pip finds herself in a race against the clock.
Season 2 Release Date and Streaming Details
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 arrives globally on May 27, 2026. The announcement came directly from Netflix along with a social media video from Myers, who expressed her excitement about returning to the role. The season will consist of six episodes, each running approximately 45 minutes.
Streaming availability varies by region. For viewers in the United States, Canada, India, and most international markets, the series will be available on Netflix. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the show will premiere on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on the same date. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will see the series exclusively on ZDFneo. Australian viewers will need to head to Stan to watch the new episodes.
The Plot: A Missing Person Case Hits Close to Home
Season 2 picks up immediately after the events of the first season. Pip and Ravi Singh (Zain Iqbal) successfully solved the murder of Andie Bell and cleared Ravi’s brother Sal’s name. But solving the case did not bring peace to Little Kilton. The fallout from Pip’s investigation has changed how everyone sees her, and she promises to step away from detective work.
But trouble finds her anyway. As the trial of Max Hastings (Henry Ashton) approaches, a key witness goes missing. Jamie Reynolds, the brother of Pip’s friend Connor, disappears without a trace. Jamie is a quiet local musician, and his sudden vanishing sends shockwaves through the community. Pip realizes she might be the only person who can find him before it is too late.
The season is based on Holly Jackson’s second book in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood. Jackson has joined the writing team for Season 2, working alongside screenwriter Poppy Cogan to adapt her own work for the screen.
“I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show! We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!” – Holly Jackson, Author and Screenwriter

What to Expect from the New Season
The tone of Season 2 shifts slightly from the first book. While Season 1 focused on a cold case murder, Season 2 deals with a missing person in real time. Pip is racing against the clock to find Jamie before something terrible happens. The season also explores how Pip’s obsession with the truth changes her. She is no longer just a “good girl” doing a school project. She is someone who has seen the dark side of her town and is willing to get her hands dirty to find justice.
Filming for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 took place in the UK, with production starting in April 2025 and wrapping in July 2025. The show is produced by Moonage Pictures (The Gentlemen, Bodies) in a co-production with Netflix, BBC, and ZDFneo.
