Three years after taking down the loan shark empire, Kim Geon-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Hong Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) are living a quieter life. But the first episode of Bloodhounds Season 2 shows that peace does not last long for this boxing duo. The episode dropped on April 3, 2026, on Netflix, bringing fans back into a world of brutal fights and high stakes.

The new season starts with Geon-woo chasing his dream of becoming a champion boxer. Woo-jin stays by his side as his trainer and brother. Everything changes when Geon-woo wins a major match. His impressive boxing skills catch the eye of a very dangerous man named Baek-jeong (played by Rain), who runs an underground fighting league called IKFC.

Geon-woo Scores a Big Win but Attracts Wrong Attention

The episode opens with Geon-woo and Woo-jin training hard for an upcoming boxing match. After practice, they help out at Geon-woo’s mother So-yeon’s cafe. They eat dinner together and talk about the fight ahead.

At the opening ceremony, Geon-woo meets his opponent Adik Belov. Adik slaps Geon-woo on stage, trying to shake him up. But Geon-woo keeps his cool and does not react to the insult. The crowd sees this restraint, and it makes people notice his discipline.

The fight night arrives. Adik controls the first round, but Geon-woo fights back hard in the second round. He lands a strong punch on Adik’s eye. The crowd starts cheering for Geon-woo. Among the audience watching is Baek-jeong, who becomes very curious about this young boxer.

Before the third round, Woo-jin and Geon-woo discuss strategy. They want to win but do not want to cause permanent damage to Adik’s injured eye. Geon-woo follows the plan perfectly. He hits Adik’s ribs and knocks him out, winning the match cleanly.

That night, Hong Min-beom (Choi Si-won) visits to celebrate Geon-woo’s victory. The three talk about President Choi and the friends they lost in season one. Min-beom shares his plan to build a children’s hospital in President Choi’s honor. This news moves both Geon-woo and Woo-jin deeply.

A New Villain Shows His True Evil Nature

While Geon-woo celebrates his win, the episode shows just how evil Baek-jeong really is. Sergeant Yun Tae-geom forces Adik to fight Baek-jeong in an illegal boxing ring to pay off his debt. Allen livestreams the fight while viewers place huge bets.

Baek-jeong fights with no mercy. He keeps targeting Adik’s already injured eye. Adik loses consciousness, but Baek-jeong does not stop. He asks Sergeant Yun to turn off the cameras and beats Adik to death inside the ring.

After the murder, Mr Lee brings a doctor to take Adik’s organs. But Sergeant Yun cuts Adik’s throat to stop the harvesting. Baek-jeong then tells Sergeant Yun to arrange a meeting with Geon-woo. This scene shows viewers that the new villain plays by no rules at all.

The Duo Refuses a Dangerous Offer

The next day, Geon-woo and Woo-jin visit Kang Tae-yeong, who now uses a wheelchair. They help her with grocery shopping. Tae-yeong shares that she will work for Min-beom as a cybersecurity expert. She asks Woo-jin to stop pitying her. Woo-jin explains that they see her as family and just want to protect her.

Later that night, Baek-jeong and Sergeant Yun show up at Geon-woo’s house. They offer him a spot in their private boxing club, IKFC. Baek-jeong promises to pay him ten times more than his current earnings. He tries to make the offer sound like a great opportunity.

Geon-woo’s mother So-yeon steps in and stops him from accepting the deal. She warns him about dirty money always coming with a price. Geon-woo and Woo-jin force the men to leave the property.

But outside, Baek-jeong makes a promise. He tells Geon-woo that he will get him to fight at his club no matter what it takes. Then he orders Mr Lee to kidnap So-yeon to pressure Geon-woo into agreeing.

The Duo Prepares for the Coming Storm

Geon-woo worries about his mother’s safety after the visit. He installs a new security system at their house. He and Woo-jin reach out to Yang Jae-myeong to find information on Baek-jeong. But they find nothing useful. The villain has no records or weak spots they can use.

Woo-jin suggests asking their friends for help. But Geon-woo refuses. He does not want to put anyone else at risk. They decide to handle Baek-jeong on their own, just the two of them.

Meanwhile, Mr Lee tells Baek-jeong about the men from Smile Capital who went to prison because of Geon-woo and Woo-jin. He finds four candidates. It would cost 100 million won each to free them. Baek-jeong picks one man named Kang In-beom and asks for his release.

The Episode Ends with a Terrifying Attack

Mr Lee arranges for Kang In-beom to get out of prison. He sends four masked men to Geon-woo’s house. That night, Allen hacks into the security system. He turns off all the cameras and unlocks the doors.

The men enter the house to kidnap So-yeon. But Geon-woo wakes up. He starts fighting the attackers immediately. Woo-jin joins him, and together they overpower the intruders. They stop the kidnapping attempt.

The attackers escape in a car. Geon-woo chases after them on foot, refusing to let them get away. As the car speeds down the road, Sergeant Yun hides in an alley. He presses a button, and the car bursts into flames. The episode ends with Geon-woo watching the burning vehicle.

The first episode of Bloodhounds Season 2 runs for about 55 minutes. All seven episodes of the new season are available to stream now on Netflix. Viewers in the USA can watch starting 12:00 AM PT. UK viewers get access at 8:00 AM BST. Indian audiences can stream from 12:30 PM IST. Australian fans on the east coast can watch from 5:00 PM AEST.
