The latest episode of Tracker brought a personal story that hit close to home for Randy. Season 3 Episode 15, titled “No Good Deed,” aired on Sunday, April 5, 2026, and showed a different side of the show’s favorite computer expert. Instead of helping from behind a screen, Randy stepped into the field alongside Colter Shaw to find one of his closest friends who went missing under strange circumstances. This episode proved that even good actions can lead to dangerous problems.

A Missing Friend Under House Arrest

The trouble started when Simon Boyce, Randy’s old best friend, vanished while serving house arrest in Minneapolis. Simon had gotten caught hacking an insurance company years ago. He gave the stolen money to people who truly needed it, acting like a modern Robin Hood. The court placed him under house arrest with an ankle monitor and strict rules. He could only use a basic flip phone and had no access to his computers.

Simon’s worried mother called Randy for help. The ankle monitor showed Simon still at home, but he was nowhere to be found. Randy knew Simon would never run away on purpose. He immediately called Colter Shaw and lawyer Reenie Greene to join the search.

The team found the ankle monitor cut and thrown in some bushes near the edge of Simon’s property. Someone had removed it cleanly without setting off any alarms. Randy tracked the monitor chip to BJH Industries, a company connected to Simon’s old roommate Bill Henderson. The trail led to drone parts and a bigger mystery.

What Really Happened to Simon

Simon had gotten bored during his house arrest. He used drone parts sent by Bill to fly a camera around his neighborhood. That drone accidentally captured something terrible. The video showed a man dragging an unconscious woman out of a truck. Simon saw the kidnapping happen and decided to play hero.

Simon helped the woman, Bruna Pryor, escape from her captors. But Bruna was not an ordinary victim. She was married to Leon Pryor, a dangerous fentanyl dealer who had killed a cop and gone into hiding. Leon set up the whole kidnapping to get rid of his wife. He thought killing her would be cheaper than paying for a divorce.

Bruna escaped with Simon’s help and hid in a secret apartment. She was bleeding badly from a leg wound but refused to go to a hospital. Going to a doctor would bring police, and she had her own plans for revenge. When Bill Henderson came to help, Bruna shot him dead. She then forced Simon to drive her to meet Leon so she could settle the score herself.

The Shootout and Rescue

Colter and Randy tracked Simon and Bruna to the meeting spot. A huge gunfight broke out between Bruna and Leon. Bullets flew everywhere. Colter ran straight into the danger to pull Simon out safely. When Leon got the upper hand and was about to kill Bruna, Colter made a hard choice. He shot Leon dead to save her life.

After the shooting stopped, Colter walked away and let the police handle Bruna. She had killed Bill and still had blood on her hands. The immediate danger was over, but the moral questions remained.

Randy and Simon’s Reunion

With Simon finally safe, the episode slowed down to show real friendship moments. Randy and Simon sat together like old times. Simon told Randy, “You showed up when it mattered.” Randy felt guilty for letting their friendship fade over the years, but Colter reminded him that life simply gets busy sometimes.

Randy thanked Colter for saving him earlier in the season. Colter brushed it off, saying that is just what friends do for each other. The scene showed how much the relationship between these two characters has grown since the show began.

Reenie Helps From the Legal Side

Reenie Greene worked her legal magic behind the scenes. She got Simon a good plea deal by pointing out how he saved Bruna and helped police take down a dangerous drug ring. Simon’s mother could finally breathe easy knowing her son would get a fair shake from the court system.

The next day outside the courthouse, Colter stopped to talk with Reenie. He asked her straight, “Are you okay?” Fans have noticed Reenie acting distracted and hiding something lately. She put on her tough face and said she was fine. Colter did not push hard. Instead, he smiled and offered to buy her lunch. They walked arm-in-arm toward a diner, giving viewers a warm moment between two people who clearly care about each other.

Episode Details and Production

“No Good Deed” was written by Sharon Lee Watson and Thomas Heminger. Tori Garrett directed the episode. The writing team has been responsible for several emotionally strong episodes this season.

Chris Lee got more screen time than usual as Randy. His character stepped away from the computer and into the real world. Fans have wanted to see more of Randy in action, and this episode delivered exactly that. Fiona Rene also appeared as Reenie, continuing to build mystery around what her character might be hiding.

Season 3 Progress

Tracker Season 3 has 21 total episodes this year. The season finale is scheduled for May 17, 2026. With six episodes still remaining after this week, the show has room to explore more character stories and bigger cases.

The series has already been renewed for a Season 4. CBS made that announcement on January 22, 2026. The new season will bring a permanent change. Chris Lee will be promoted to series regular, meaning fans will see even more of Randy in future episodes.
