New Opening Theme

The creditless opening video for Re:ZERO Season 4 was shown at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 29. The new opening theme song is called “Recollect,” performed by Konomi Suzuki featuring Ashnikko. The production team includes Giga and TeddyLoid. Preview stills from Episode 1 were also released during the event, showing the visual direction for the new season.

What Happened Before Season 4

Season 3 ended with the group barely surviving the Witch Cult attack in Priestella. The Sin Archbishops of Lust, Wrath, and Gluttony caused terrible damage. Sirius, the Archbishop of Wrath, was captured but gave a mysterious hint about Subaru’s connection to Petelgeuse.

The biggest shock came at the end. Subaru realized that Julius no longer recognized him. The Authority of Gluttony had eaten Subaru’s name, slowly removing his existence from other people’s memories. Emilia made the difficult choice to freeze the victims of Lust’s powers in cryosleep to save them for the future.
