The show returned on April 2, 2026, after a short break for the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. Episode 15, titled “A Stuffed Monkey and an Ex-Girlfriend,” aired on April 9, 2026. That episode featured Meemaw (Annie Potts) helping Mandy with a fake toy business and Connor writing a playful song.
Now, Episode 16 is set to arrive with more family drama and comedy.

The episode is titled “Alpha Males and the Power of Prayer”. Each episode runs for about 30 minutes, so expect it to finish around 8:31 p.m. ET.

CBS released the official synopsis for “Alpha Males and the Power of Prayer”.
Mandy tries to make things right with Pastor Jeff (Matt Hobby) when she learns her controversial comments have hurt the tire store’s business. Meanwhile, Jim and Audrey butt heads over Connor’s allowance.
This storyline connects directly to Episode 12, titled “The G Word and a Blaspheming Bimbo,” which aired on March 5, 2026. In that episode, Mandy (Emily Osment) made controversial remarks on live TV that put her job, Georgie’s business, and the family’s reputation at risk.
The consequences of those remarks are now affecting the family tire store. Matt Hobby returns as Pastor Jeff in this episode. He previously appeared on Young Sheldon and has made several appearances on this spin-off.
The second storyline focuses on Jim (Will Sasso) and Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) disagreeing about how much allowance to give Connor (Dougie Baldwin). This family argument fits the show’s style of mixing humor with real family problems.
