Min Hee Jin initially denied HYBE’s calls.
ADOR is slated to hold a board of directors meeting this week amidst the ongoing legal feud between the label and its parent company, HYBE.
According to reports on May 7, KST, ADOR has notified HYBE that they will be holding a board meeting somewhere in Seoul on May 10, KST. The meeting will include CEO Min Hee Jin, Vice President Shin, and Creative Director Kim.
This comes after it was reported last week that Min Hee Jin had refused HYBE’s call for a board of directors meeting, which was intended to expedite the process of dismissing Min Hee Jin and her directors from their positions at ADOR. Min claimed that their call had no legal basis.
The rights to a convention of the audited board of directors are only limited to the scope of the audit’s requirements, and their call is hence illegal.

According to the legal representatives of ADOR, apart from the board meeting, the label will also hold a general shareholders’ meeting by the end of May.
Meanwhile, the opinion of the netizens seems to be heavily in favor of Min Hee Jin. They see her as the underdog in this situation, much like the Korean folktale character Kongji.

- “Hwaiting!”

- “I am rooting for Min Hee Jin and NewJeans.”
