Daredevil: Born Again returned with two episodes on March 31, 2026, delivering major twists, character returns, and a high-stakes rescue mission. Disney+ dropped Episodes 2 and 3 together, moving the story forward at a faster pace after the season premiere. These episodes brought back a familiar face from Season 1, introduced a new hero, and ended with a thrilling prison breakout that freed several prisoners from Mayor Wilson Fisk’s secret underground facility.

Cole North Returns After Surviving the Explosion

Episode 2 revealed that Cole North (Jeremy Isaiah Earl) survived the explosion at Matt Murdock’s apartment from the Season 1 finale. The character shows up with facial scarring but is back in action. Many viewers thought Cole died in that explosion, but the show confirmed he made it out alive.

Cole’s return adds another layer to the ongoing conflict against Mayor Fisk. His survival also connects to the larger network of people working against Fisk’s anti-vigilante task force.

Fisk’s Strategy Against Matt Murdock Gets More Dangerous

Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) takes a different approach in these episodes. Instead of exposing Matt Murdock as Daredevil, Fisk publicly declares Matt a hero and asks citizens to help find their “missing saviour.” Fisk tells his team that revealing Daredevil’s identity would backfire because Matt saved his life on camera.

This strategy makes things harder for Matt. Fisk’s team member Buck suggests revealing Matt’s identity, but Fisk refuses. The mayor’s logic is that the public would not react well if they learned the man who saved Fisk’s life was secretly a vigilante. Instead, Fisk’s approach traps Matt, making it harder for him to stay hidden while also keeping the public on Fisk’s side.

The New White Tiger Makes Her Debut

Episode 3, titled “The Scales & The Sword,” officially introduced Angela del Toro (Camila Rodriguez) as the new White Tiger. Angela is the niece of Hector Ayala (Kamar de los Reyes), the original White Tiger who was killed by the Anti-Vigilante Task Force in Season 1.

Angela wears pieces of Hector’s costume and uses his Amulet of Power during Daredevil’s raid on Kingpin’s Red Hook facility. She uses Hector’s knives to slash AVTF tires and drives hostages to safety in an armored vehicle. The show does not explicitly call her “White Tiger” on screen, but the connection is clear for viewers familiar with the comics.

In the comics, writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev created Angela del Toro in 2004. Her comic version has superhuman strength, speed, agility, and healing abilities through the Amulets of Power. Before his death, Hector told Angela to act independently rather than depend on others, a lesson she carries forward.

Bullseye’s Strange New Direction

Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) returns in Episode 2 with a new approach. He visits Clinton Church looking for Sister Maggie, Matt’s mother, who is spending a year on sabbatical in Rome. Dex, who impersonated Daredevil in Season 3 of the original series, now seems to be acting in a strange protector role.

Bullseye takes out AVTF agents who were coming for Cherry at the hospital. His actions suggest he might be following Matt’s path in his own way, though still using deadly methods. Wilson Bethel’s performance continues to stand out, and these episodes give Bullseye more screen time than Season 1 provided.

The Massive Prison Break at Kingpin’s Facility

Episode 3 ended with one of the biggest action sequences of Season 2. Daredevil broke into Kingpin’s underground prison, freeing several prisoners who were held there. Among the freed prisoners was Jack Duquesne (Tony Dalton), also known as the Swordsman, who appeared in Hawkeye.

The action sequence showed Daredevil using his billy club in creative ways, including a Sam Raimi-style point-of-view shot as the club flew through the air into an AVTF agent’s face. Jack Duquesne joined the fight, using pipes as makeshift swords and showing his combat skills for the first time since the Hawkeye finale.

The sequence ended with the half-sunken tanker storyline wrapping up. Fisk was willing to let his own patsies die when Mr. Charles suggested getting rid of the weapons, but Daredevil’s rescue operation freed the prisoners before that could happen.

BB Urich’s Secret Identity Revealed

Episode 2 confirmed that BB Urich (Genneya Walton) is the person behind the “City Without Fear” broadcasts. She wears a Fisk mask and a “Mayor Kingpin” namecard while running the operation. The reveal came earlier than some expected, and her conversation with Daniel showed she wants him to turn against his boss.

Heather Glenn’s Dark Path

Heather Glenn’s storyline took a darker turn in these episodes. After having visions of Muse in Episode 1, Episode 3 showed her pulling a Muse mask out of her desk. The scene draws comparisons to Friday the 13th’s Tommy Jarvis storyline, where the character kept Jason’s mask and hinted at taking on his persona. It remains unclear whether Heather will actually become a villain or stop before going that far.

What Happened to the Punisher?

Matt and Karen ask each other the question many viewers have been wondering about: where is the Punisher? The character is aware of what Fisk is doing, and the show acknowledges his absence. His upcoming Disney+ special will likely answer that question.
